better work at a tire shop!
!!!COOL AS ALL GET OUT!!
I love huge engines in small cars
nah now, if they had put a REAL hemi in it, sure
Makes me miss my old Daytona
Less music, more engine, and need a price tag!
The way they should've been built!
I have a buddy that builds conversions for installing a small blk to a hemi in Shadows, LeBarons, and Daytonas. He started with a 360 in his, now a 6.1, in a 94 Daytona. That's been my plan for my 87 LeBaron cp.
Yup. I’d run it. Very well done. Like the guy on the phone, hearing but not believing...
looks like a fun ride.. the more stock looking te better...
Absolutely!! Always thought this should've been done, imagine how the market would've been if we had these back then.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ All it takes is money and you can have one too!
Where's he located? I've got a 95 Lebaron convertible that I've kicked around the idea of throwing a small block in it, make it a drag car. Stuff some Weld Draglites on it would look cool and classy!
That would surprise a few mustangs
Ans id didn't spin out of control into the crowd like the Mustangs do. LOL
God damn that is awesome! I got goose pimples when Barracuda started playing
I believe dodge used to sell rear wheel conversions for Daytonas back in the 80's so you could put a v8 into the thing. I agree it's a very nice build, but a ton of effort and money spent.
They did, they had a k frame at least, because it's in my old mp catalog
There’s a K car convertible in my area that is a pro touring car with a 6.1L in it.
"Interior not finished" I've got a couple of cars like that.
Here is mine. 78 Challenger 440 with 906's and a .509 hydraulic cam. Just about as stock as it can be and still be a race car. Not enough room for a big radiator or I may try to go cruising. At 3350# it has run 11.04 at 106, running out of breath and rattling the valvetrain but, I usually go 1/8 mile racing, anyways. Wife is the Crew Chief and Daughter is allergic to all the noise. I have tried to convince one of them to drive. I am steady working out the bugs from the former owners(Friends of mine) and I expect 2019 to be a fun year.
It was built and marketed for ss/gt racing,It cost me about $600 in 1992 money. I had serial #006 kit and installed it in a 1986 340 Laser. It used a custom k,stock a-srms (switched from right to left for front steering) ,brakes and struts (all to be upgraded) ,included a pre bent and indexed drop tube with mounting ears for the motor mounting (spool) and a trans mount. Trans tunnel needed mods, and I had an 8 3/4 rear welded to the stock trailing arms and modified the panhard bar to clear the housing bump. Cop 15" wheels fit under the car. It used a Dakota manual rack and a modified lower shaft converted to front steer. I traded it for a 66 sport fury convertable 4 speed car before I was done. I believe Quantum 53's buddy is Exline fabricating and they made nice kits .
