Thanks! It has some slight bubbling over one of the rear wheels and behind the quarter on one side. It's been painted once, it was originally a red car. Here is how she looks now that she is back on the ground and ready to cruise.

1973 4 Door Dart Custom 318/904
No suspension mods aside from saggy springs and fresh shocks.

Wheels - 17x7 steel takeoffs from a 2006 Dodge Magnum
Tires - 205/50ZR17 Federals

eBay 17" trim rings
Rallye center caps being shipped now.

Looks pretty rubber bandy, next set will probably be 215/65's or 225/60's but I need power steering before I go to wider tires up front and more gear before I run a taller tire in the back.

 whoa !!!

Just you wait. She pitched a head gasket which I'm using as an excuse to pick up a 5.9 Magnum out of a 98 1500. Explorer 8.8 swap pending. Then some much needed handling work. So excited. I'm really really pleased with how the 17's are turning out, I did a lot of Jeep and Intrepid/300C/Magnum forumlurking to find out if center caps and trim rings fit and they look just like I wanted them to (well, they will once the wheels are coated, still deciding on color). Hot Wheels!
:burnout:

Oh, right the paint. It's great for getting school kids to shriek, rednecks to give me thumbs up from the bus stop, and making soccer moms shake their heads angrily. And kinda sorta keeping the rustmonster off the body panels, but it's a PO's crackly housepaint nightmare up close. It's fun driving the Zebra Car, and everybody around town is "sure they've seen it before", including the guy who put the tires on, but I'm not sure I'm into animal print long-term. It's not a sure thing but there's a decent 80's metallic blue repaint (fender tag shows white/blue interior) hiding under most of the places it's chipped up, I've half a mind to get out there with the thinner and some rags and see if I can save it, but I'm afeared I'll spend ten hours to reveal a huge bare spot on the roof/hood/trunk.

There was another Zebra Dart in Portland for a few years - I kind of think only the back half was done, though. it's on the east coast now, running in vintage road racing. I'm sure there are pics on the web somewhere. It was an early A, a 65 or 66, IIRC. Still a great look in my book!

This is the wheel with center caps and rings. Cap is just kinda set in the hole right now, need to drill the mounting holes and then she's good to go.
