Well, that cop needs to be fired... A-hole doesn't even apply the rules of the road to his own driving. If any citizen did what he did, they'd get cited for following to close.

Almost as funny as the idiot cops that a guy alleged forcefully farting in front of them and charged with assault... REALLY? LMAO

Well, that cop needs to be fired...

Needs to be more than fired in my book. "Cops" are the only effing industry in the COUNTRY where you get to threaten people, intimidate people, take up their time without their permission, all while carrying several substantial, not to mention deadly weapons systems.

"Drive normal?" Looked pretty normal to me!!!!

Having an onboard camera and posting this to Youtube?? freekin' priceless!!!!

Courtesy has it's perils... LOL

Keep up with traffic and not let the car over is a recipe for getting crushed by the lane changing car.

I don't disagree with you Del. Seen more than I ever want to out of the PD and what they do. Pencil screwing, etc...

well we could do away with cops and see how long things last then?

Technically cops aren't suppose to be "threatening people" at all, but you'd swear it was part of the job with asswipes like that. I think cops would have an about face on the image if departments would expel those idiots.

These kind of videos always make me regret getting a CJ degree. Who wants to work where your coworkers giving the public a certain perception. :snorting:

Hopefully the guy the bike rode himself down to the nearest lawyer. They were all going at a relatively slow merging speed. So the cop was giving the bike enough space or wasn't paying attention.

Also, if only this happened in Ca. I don't know about NV rear end laws, but in Ca, if you rear end someone, it is ALWAYS your fault. Because you are expected to maintain control of your vehicle regardless of traffic conditions.

And it's not really a racial thing, as the race-baiters like to claim. The cops don't respect anybody's rights. They deliberately violate the 4th Amendment on a daily basis, and when they are challenged on it they will arrest you for raising the issue of probable cause; beat you up; or lie their asses off to support a finding of probable cause when there is none.

I know many, many young people who have been stopped by the cops for absolutely no reason, over and over. The cops are just doing it to harass them. Now, none of these kids is willing to challenge the cops over their illegal practices because the cops would retaliate against them, but the cops are creating a whole generation of people who hate the police. Someday the cops' lies and violation of the 4th Amendment are going to come home to roost, and it won't be pretty.

Please do not turn this into another of your political rants. All I'm saying is that an industry which hires heavily armed individuals and turns them loose on the public MUST be held to a much much higher standard. This Alpha Hotel is obviously out of control.

Threatening behavior, as well as threatening "a ###load of tickets" is part of that as far as I'm concerned. Even if a judge were to toss everything out of court, it would still cost the (in this case victim) lots of time and most probably money.

I'm not too sure I could have remained as calm as that biker did.

I had an unmarked cop car tailgate the hell out of me in the left lane (I was doing 7 over) in heavy traffic, swerve into the right lane, then back into the left, behind me and flash his blue lights. I slowed down and got in the right lane expecting to be pulled over, but instead he passed me, swerved back over in front of me and slammed on his brakes, then gunned it.

Then in about 1/4 of a mile, turned right. ??!!?? WTF??

I was so pissed I almost followed him and reported it to the highway patrol, but then thought about how my life most likely would become a living hell.

That is the worst behavior from someone who should be held to a better standard I've ever seen.

He gained one spot in traffic and almost caused three collisions, two with the same car (me), and was very obviously NOT on the way to an emergency.

...a close second is the time I was accused of not paying for a meal at Denny's at 2:00am.

I was follwed to my car, told I was a theif, and that I'd be spending the night in jail as soon as the manager agreed to press charges.

I explained that my buddy had paid our bill, and that he even payed with a $50.

The cop then called me a liar.

After waiting somewhat nervously for almost 20 minutes within earshot of two cops laughing and joking about what an idiot I was and how I thought I was going to get away with it, I overheard the waitress come out and tell them she had made a mistake.

The cops then left and NEVER came back to tell me there had been a mistake, or that I was free to go!!!

What cops don't make mistakes? Ya he was wrong, Looks like having a bad day at work.

I had a cop give me some chit 2 1/2 years ago and I filed a grievance against him. He just got popped for stealing opiates out from the police department’s prescription drug disposal container. Dumbass left them in a sack in his patrol car.

Yep.

well that guy just kind of stopped lol... but the cop should have had enough following distance to not hit him lol... i dont even ride and i could tell the biker was hugging the line and long following distance so he could keep an eye on them...

Apparently the cop was allowed to retire in lieu of being fired.
Officer Eugene Holm retired yesterday in lieu of being fired. This was confirmed by an internal affairs investigator this morning.

Officer Holm was facing Internal Affairs charges for: (1) Not reporting an accident (Metro Policy Manual 5/103.29), (2) Wrongful interaction with the public (for being discourteous and rude, Metro Policy Manual 4/102.12), and (3) Conduct Unbecoming an Officer (intimidation, Civil Service Rule 510-2). All charges were "SUSTAINED".

When he decided to be a police officer he gave up the right to have a bad day at work... what happens when this hot head has a really bad day at work and shoots somebody??? Oops.... just having a bad day at work!?!?

Like someone said in a post above, all law enforcement should be held to a MUCH higher standard!!

:burnout:

X2 I agree that whole thing was a weird deal including the way that guy was riding. Normally motorcycles tend to ride in the left of a traffic lane.

I didn't make a single political statement here. You turned a thread about AN a-hole cop and used it as platform to ignorantly blast all law enforcement.

the rider was being smart. 99% of morons dont see bikes especially in that particular circumstance. I have been down at highway speeds because of a moron changing lanes like that into me. you HAVE to lay back. That smug cop and his piss attitude needs to be shoved up his back door.

he was on the right trying to get the lane changer to see him in his mirror. That was exclusively a visibility move.

exactly what i was thinking.

cop was a douchebag. should have been fired instead of being allowed to retire.

Firing would have been the correct thing that should have happened. This way he will have every opportunity to join another arm of the law.

How does the cop write that ticket? "I observed cyclist cruising the strip going 30 mph in reverse"
