Hello from BluePrint Engines!

-
The damper will need changed, but we sell one. And we can provide an intake. BUT your front drive accessories, starter, trans, converter...all good. Basically the balane and intake is all we should really need to worry about. But ya, I will fix ya up.
OK Shoot me a price when you got a chance. Long block aluminum heads, intake, 425 HP or a tad bit more, balance and I will be sitting down when you let me know.
Remember Johnny I get the good guy discount, LOL

Looks like that's what is going to happen or stroke my 340.
At that point you would be buying a completely new rotating assembly, and paying more for parts and machine work than a crate offering for sure. Will shoot ya a message tomorrow.

Thanks Johnny no hurry still in primer and blocking and primer and blocking and sore fingers.

So, how much mopar/408 h.p. do they offer that still has a warranty ?
Every engine we sell has a 30 month warranty. So that includes all power levels.
We have a 375, 445, and a new one launching soon with a higher rating. Approx 470

What I`m asking is , what is the most h.p. yu all will guarantee for 30 months.
Looks like we were typing at the same time. I expanded on the above
"On chryslers We have a 375, 445, and a new one launching soon with a higher rating. Approx 470"

On engines period, we go up to 850. But we have some power adder rated engines that are capable of 1400. All carry the same warranty.

Sounds like a pretty good engine to me.
What are the rough specs on the 470 H.P. engine and an approximate price?
Release date?
I can't buy one yet, but i'll put down a ten dollar deposit on #2000.........lol

It's very similar to the current LA.offering only itll have a magnum block and heads. Not really a problem for anyone that isnt trying to reuse an LA manifold. Eventually we may explore a dual pattern head. That's my goal anyways.
Approx 700 more than the current aluminum headed LA. Probably within a month. Cant beat a roller cam...I think its gonna be a hit!

Thank you for your quick reply, Johnny.
Sounds like a winner!

any idea of how loose of a converter people are running with the 375hp in a street driver?

Good modern converters aren't loose until you nail the throttle. Good modern converters aren't cheap though either. Dust your wallet off and make some calls to dynamic, ultimate, PTC, etc.

Mopowers is correct. The generic answer is 1800 - 2400, BUT....you want a custom converter made. You should be able to easily run 12's with that engine, but a good converter will act like an oem until you flash it.
You can kill or gain lots of performance with a converter.

While Im only using the short block from Blueprint, with my own selection of parts, mild cam etc, my approx hp is somewhere close to 390-400, Im using a Turbo Action 10" 17805ST (tight) which is listed as a 3500 stall. In 3rd gear on the brake and matted I see about 3200, it works great on the street, and strip, but I want closer to 4000, I'm changing things in the motor slightly this coming winter and plan on a 9.5" 3800/4200 stall likely from Ultimate, supposed to still drive nicely on the street. I'd suggest dont under stall, just call! (a converter company!)

What can we say about Johnny Mac, You are a Great guy and like all the other people on this forum that really know the ins and outs of our Mopars that are more than willing to share their knowledge with guys like me who actually know a lot but need some help with the more involved stuff. What I'm trying to say is Thank You, you know who you are!

Jeff
