words that irk me

Do you mean for example the "rapist" that impregnated the woman or even worse a girl under 18 years old???
It should be the woman's choice what happens to her body instead of some old fuddy duddy. Whatever the situation it's nobody else' decision so get rid of these antiquated ideas. If a child was conceived by rape that child would never be loved because every time you saw that child it would bring back horrible memories. Secondly if the child was going to be born with major problems and not able to live a normal life then yes it would be a tough decision but I think better that way than letting the child be in a vegetated state all it's life. Nature can be very cruel at times.

until they start putting rapist to death for their crimes i see no reason why we should murder innocent babies for crimes some one else committed
So if your son raped a woman you'd have no problem executing him?

but since we are on the topic
i hate the word "pro-choice"

the opposite of life is death (or murder, if you force it)
so the opposite of pro-life should be called pro-murder

Sometimes nature makes the decision. It's called a miscarriage as you know.
if i remember the number correctly, up to 25% of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage, most of them so early on the mom might not even know she was pregnant

that is the main reason me and my wife never announced any of her pregnancies untll she was passed a certain week count (i cant remember the exact number now, that is more her area of expertise, but once you pass a certain mark, perhaps it is 12 weeks, the chance of miscarriage decreases drastically)

no, i would have a terrible time seeing it through, but it would be the right thing to do
(and for the record, that responsibility falls to the state, i am not advocating for lynch mobs)

The word "pace" being used instead of "speed" by all the stupid NASCAR broadcast people. Example: "Harvick's car has better pace than Larson's because of those new tires". What the hell was wrong with the word "speed"??? Or just "faster"? Earnhardt Junior started this crap.

Using the words "P1", "P2", "P3" instead of "first", "second", "third". This crap comes from mimicking what the Formula One people do. Who cares what F1 does?

I hate "My Bad". It is just ignorant ghetto, urban, minority slang. Admit fault the right way and move past it.
I hate "Just Sayin". It is ignorant, pointless, redundant redneck slang. Say what you mean and own it.
Stop starting sentences with the following: Like. So. I was thinkin. Listen.

Stop ending sentences with: And ****. Know whut I'm sayin? Know what I mean? You follow me? You feel me?
Yeah it was all downhill when suburban white kids started talking ghetto like...been going on since 1990 at least maybe longer...

Geez, what do you know we finally agree on something. 3 months you're fairly safe but the fetus can die at anytime right up till birth (still born) and sadly the mother and child can die as well. You're also right about a miscarriage and the woman doesn't know they were actually pregnant.
My English cousin had three children. Her first was a son and was a 7 month preemie and never lost the hospital and died at 3 months. Her next two daughters were both 7 month preemies as well but survived. The second daughter is now 7 months and doing very well so far anyway. Just hope for the best and hope that history doesn't repeat itself.

One that gets me is ish. What the H... is ish? It’s coolish outside. Is it cool or not? Or she was stand-offish. Either you are or not. It’s like being sort of pregnant you know pregnantish

That is probably a CYA ,adding "ish" means that they never really said the word they are adding "ish" to...

i betcha we agree on a lot more then we realize, we just tend to interpret those things different

7 months, lessee, that is 28 weeks
she should be "in the clear"

if i remember correctly, the bottom for neonatal resuscitation is 27 weeks (meaning if a child is born with a gestation age of less then 27 weeks the doctors will not try to revive him or her if they get in trouble)

of course, im citing US guidelines, you guys may do thing differently over there

my sister had really tough pregnancies too, both premees, but you couldnt tell now that they are 7 and 9

Vehemently agreed!!! This is all part and parcel of participation trophy thinking.

Nah, it didn't even start with that Elvis fella, swinging his hips around, this is way older than recorded history.

"Elvis has left the building."

Preemies weighing less than a pound can be put in an incubator and survive and lead a good life. They'll spend a long time in the hospital and some of them may have a challenge of some type but if they are weak they may not survive like my cousin's son, his lungs weren't fully developed. It's nature.

yes, i think we were saying the same thing
here in the US the guideline is by gestational age (time since conception) and i was actually wrong about the bottom, it is between 22 and 24

if a baby is born premature with less then 22-24 weeks of gestational age and it gets in trouble (stops breathing, or looses his pulse) the pediatrician will not attempt to save his life, given the understanding that the child has not developed enough to thrive and will most likely not make it to adulthood
(like you said, it's nature)

Your bible isn't going to change the way they think.
This shows how ignorant you are of "our" Book.
If you leave this Book on the nightstand all it can do is collect dust.
But if you open it, and do read it, there is a whole new world in there. And altho this Book itself is little more than a collection of paper, ink, and words; it is the power in those words, together with Faith, that is well-able to get chit done. I have testified as to what those words have done for me, in the here and now, so that others like me, here on FABO, can access the same power for themselves.

Just because you read a Bible doesn't mean others do, that was the point of Mark's quote.

If you fully believe like you claim, you wouldn't even use the almost swear words you do. Changing a letter doesn't make it any better, the intent is there, so you might as well use the proper word and complete your sin.

I’ve said this once I’ll say it again. Believe what you believe leave others believe what they believe. If I want to know or understand what you believe I’ll ask. Just don’t push what you believe on me. Infringement on my civil rights.

Exactly LocuMob. For all you bible thumpers, there is no after-life, when you're dead you're dead, finished!! Houdini proved that point when he died. He gave his wife a secret code Rosabelle and he would try to contact her through a median. Many tried but to no avail. If anyone could have done it he would have.
I don't even have a bible in the house thankyou and even if I did it would just gather dust. If there is a person you call God then why would he let people be in severe pain with cancer or whatever or let them suffer with Dementia or Alzheimers? Bet you can't answer that one, I was born at night but just not last night.

My issue is that all the words in the Bible are hear say. Not one word was written by God. Everything in the Bible is something that somebody else thought or wrote.
