Lol, same here...not sure what the port difference is magnum vs La? Maybe @pittsburghracer or @70aarcuda will chime in.

If it helps, when I ordered them, there was no designation for magnum that I recall, just 318-340-360 bare heads.
I was Messing around earlier today on their website . This sale was laughable this year with almost nothing in stock.
The ports are the same. Just the bolt angle is different. Magnum is vertical. Also the LA head uses rocker stands for the shafts. Zach, can u post a couple more pics. Kim

Just for the heck of it I looked at my records from 2019 and 2020. My two heads in 2019 were 218.00 each and my 4 heads in 2020 were 219.00 each.
Correct I paid 438 for a pair of bare heads last year.

I got 4 jugs of oil for $106.00 cad including taxes and enviro. Then this Maxx air fryer oven. $144.00 cad including taxes. Kim. For some reason I get an error trying to up load the oil pic. Mobile 1 full synthetic 0W20. 5 USA quarts.

I can tell you I would have bought the Speedmaster heads instead of the money I spent on my 596 heads..
But now I have both and I'm using them both... I've never had them side by side as far as j heads x heads or 596 heads but I'm told by the Internet lol that there isn't much difference.. the Speedmaster heads are more of a Edelbrock copy... Can't really say I got anything out of the seat of the pants either from going from 596 heads with 202 valves to the speedmasters..
Seat of the pants ? how would you ever know ? didn't you tame it down some, different cam, carburetors and added a bunch of weight.
I'm sure if you had just changed the heads it would have picked up some.
but then again, you always have that button, see ya !
