I have gone as fast as 10.40 in my Dart also with a 360 block with W2s . I bracket race practically every weekend when the track operators in NHRA Division One decided years ago to move the high end of Pro to 9.00 I put DOT tires and a throttle stop on my car to run 11.50s as I just didn't feel competitive against 9 second cars. I have been much more competitive running 11.50s in Sportsman class and also 11.50 index. Both of my current small blocks are 10 second capable my 408 ( R3 block, Indy heads, 9.8 to 1 compression ) would be a 9 second piece with a boost in compression and a roller cam. Current motor is the same 360 Magnum block, 10.1 to 1 compression, W2 heads, 585 lift cam on pump gas. Just redone for lower compression from 11.5 to 1.
