I'm one of the few people stupid enough to do it, in certain situations. Got a set of W2s on the bench now, with one port done. A nice, quiet 305 cfm with a 2.02, but what sucks, is now there are 7 more intake ports and 8 exhaust ports to finish. Hes a close freind or the answer would have been "HELL NO"Go for it. I’m all for using cast iron IF you can tolerate porting that stuff.
I could use some help on the short side w/pictures! I have a set of MP template ported econo’s that need a little help.I'm one of the few people stupid enough to do it, in certain situations. Doesn't say you can't use them. J.RobI see it states iron OEM heads, no EQ,RHS ect, but what about the Chinese iron castings? The currently available ones
is it that the grinding an d polishing is laborious and dirty? i would think aluminum grinds and polishes easier being soft metalGo for it. I’m all for using cast iron IF you can tolerate porting that stuff.

Its dirty. It’s nasty. And it takes longer to do than aluminum and guys snivel when you want to charge for the extra time.
Plus, if you happen to FAK something up its much harder to repair.
is that more of a game where you pick components and it simulates how the engine would work?If you want big participation, pick a dyno sim program and let everyone build one on there and send in the results. Same dyno sim for everyone.
Kinda, yeah. Like on desktop dyno, for example.is that more of a game where you pick components and it simulates how the engine would work?
