Small block gives those LS a smack !

That's cool. $35,000 engine if you or I asked for it to be built but still very cool.

I love the fact that it's old school at its finest beatin up on the latest and greatest.......but dammit what it cost to do it!

The owner of the engine commented on Facebook that the engine will go in a 3600 lb station wagon later this year....which currently runs 10.70 with a 360....expects 9s...

Some of us beat LS engines every weekend with low dollar LA stuff. My buddy just blew up his second one in three years. He just had another one built. 6.60-6.70’s on an average day in Pa air.

They did a great job with their LA. It would be interesting to see what these deep thinking guys could do with a LS or Gen III Hemi. Smart guys can win with any good platform.

Old news that’s always great to read again.
Not exactly a lot of cam ether, my favorite part. You can easily street drive that cam.
The only expensive part is the heads and work in them which would be totally worth it. The rest of the package can take a cost reduction for street bound rides with the more than probable HP penalty. For pump gas usage, a slight reduction in the compression ratio with plane old flat tops could be done. I’d for sure go with piston coatings. It’ll help keep things good.
I love that Holley Pro Dominator Intake......i think this would fit the Indy Oval Port heads?

Michael

Yup, though there’s is highly modified, the Indy heads should bolt up to a W2 intake without a huge fan fare and a pile of issues.

Would love to see this motor with a power adder to really push the limits of the factory block. They have already gone well over what most think it can handle.

Probably some super light oil that no one would run and a ring pac not worried about long wear
