    Leaking 833 Vent

I feel sick right now. CAn there be any other solution other than having to remove the trans and take the main shaft out from the extension housing? There was some thing I read on the Brewers page about the vent being for 66 and up trans. What was done on the 65 units?

    Cam 2011

The California Auto Museum has a Criuse and Car show each year. This was the 3rd Annual and was quite a cool event. Over 530 car participated but there were only 5 Mopars in the entire event. They did offer a Favorite Mopar Award, that was voted on by the drivers and my 68 Road Runner won that...

    Leaking 833 Vent

I disassembled the trans when I rebuilt it and never noted a slpask gaurd inside the tail housing so it must have been missing to begin with. I just got the thing installed and really would hate to have to remove it again. What would be the down side of plugging the vent with RTV. Would there be...

My 73 Dart Gets A Heart Transplant

The engine was bored .030 over and a Melling Torquer cam. My son was on a budget and wanted to keep the gas milage some what resonable. We figure with the 500 CFM Eldebrock carb and "IF" he keeps his foot light he should be able to get close to 20 MPG, may be better. He wanted to go 4 barrel so...

    Connecting Rob Bearing Question

Well the engine now has rod bearings that have a "v" per the shop manual. I filed the "v" to exact size as the bearing cap. Do you feel this is a bad thing or just a little more work for myself. I deburred the filings so there should not be any ill effects, I hope!

    Connecting Rob Bearing Question

Yes, there is a tang on each of the bearing halves. But the Shop manual calls for a "V" to be lined up with the "V" in the bearing cap?

    Connecting Rob Bearing Question

I am building up a 318 for a 73 Dart for my kid. I have noticed that the clevite bearings I have for the rods present an issue as compared to the shop manual. The shop manual indicates that the rod bearing cap has a "V" Groove in one end of the mating face. The bearing must be installed with the...
