MOST of those transport guys are REAL pricey .... the last car I picked up was in Chicago ... I bought a good used tow dolly and drove up from FL ....and took it up to NW lower Michigan for LESS than what it would have had to pay them. And I still have the dolly for future use.

My present combo is a lite-weight B-body with a decent 440 ... 2.76 gear with about a 26" tire .... and I have had to delay the secondary opening BIG TIME....or it will bog. Your gear should not be a prob.

The secondaries could be opening up just a tad ...and messing up this whole deal at low speed. Just wire the air-door CLOSED so there is no action there. What rear end gear ratio do you have? .. a short gear(3.2 or 2.9 or so) requires special tuning.

I would say TIE OFF the secondaries for a test to see if the problem is on the primary side. Going up 006 on the acc-pump is a good step... a later 70's carb is normally lean. It DOES sound like you need to adjust the secondary air-door. I have a tool for that.

A OPFE is a PITA. Neat initial idea ... but the PAIN of it will cancel that out REAL QUICK. GO with separate panels ..... and I would STAY AWAY from US Body ...UNLESS you are able to pick the parts up and INSPECT THEM before paying for them. And under NO circumstances accept parts that...

NOTHING wrong with cast pistons at all ....'cept in a forced-induction combo.

It will most-always have that "miss" when you rev-it ....with no load. But out on the road it should not miss at all. Vac-adv helps MPG ..big time. And you can TUNE THAT to your application.
