    Thanks guys for all the help, I did wire it for the new system, I've done the same on 68 Coronet R/T , 68 Coronet, 67 Baracuda, and 69 Dart, all work great, well except for my 67 Coronet, and it worked fine for 2 years, then all of a sudden this happens !     Ok, what I have is on my street car, went to the new style charging system about two years ago! Now the car will not charge at all , with either system???? The car is a 67 dodge with a 440. Any help would be great! Anymore I go out to work on and end up just staring at all those f@#king wires...

    Build me a 550hp 440!

    I ran a 440 with 12.5 -1 trw pistons, stock rod or go with aftermarket h-beam rods, stock forged steel crank, mp 312-590 cam and a set of unported 915 heads!     I've reused them in the past, but would spring for a new one if you can! If you do use it make sure to use a small amount of sealer around the port areas! I've never had any problems reusing them, but use the sealer just in case! Hope this helps! :thumblef:

    Yeah thats what I thought Lancester!! Put a 340 in a Barracuda for my father, was a 318 car, all I need to do was find another passanger side mount from a 318 and use that for the drivers side, worked great , and was cheap!!

    Distributor / oil pump drive gear

    With number one cylinder at tdc, the oil pump shaft should be stright front to back, or horizinal, then drop dis. in with rotor pointing to the number one on the cap!

    Well, got the old duster running today, but I have a question, just put a crank trigger on it, set it up at 36 degrees, and phased the dis. in , my question is when I go to change the timing on the pick-up do I have to phase the Dis. in to that timing??? Also I have a timing retard of 20...

    I used Fine lines for my Duster, because they are about 45 min away, the fit and finish was outstanding, not a problem, I used the brake lines from prop. valve to the rear of the car, also for the 8 3/4 tubes ! Like I say very good fit, no problems!!! :thumblef:

    A-Body 440 Headers?

    Yeah those are for a Big Block A-body! Should be either 1 7/8 or 2 in. Not sure what the number is! They look the same as mine on my Duster! Hope this helps. :salut:

    New Springs

    I run the stock shackle in the rear, and still fit 29.5 x 11.5 15 in the wheel well, had to do some fine tuning on the spring clamps and outer lip, but nothing big! I use F-150 shocks and I think that they have worked the best! With this set up the car went 992 @ 148 frist time out!

    Yes, you will need new mounts, the drivers side is different! But if you have two passanger side mounts from a 318 it will work, my father has a 67 Cuda that had a 318 in it and thats what I used to put a 340 in it!! Shumacker has mounts that you can buy, but the 318 mounts are a hole lot...
