No such thing as a "340 Dash". All 68 Barracuda dashes are the same other than option specific differences. A 340 car could have had a dash that was identical to a slant 6 dash.

Fabric headliners are difficult to install correctly, you can spot an amateur install a mile away. A cage will make it even harder.

I have the original deluxe interior in my 68. Not that I will be much help..... My interior is black and both the carpet and the edging are black.

You can Krylon a dash and achieve a 95% OE finish appearance that will last years. All for that low price of $8.00.... Just stack light and even coats. And.... Who gives a crap if it starts to fade in 3-5 years, spend another 8 bucks and give it a light, fresh, top coat.

Yup, Deluxe got the full carpeting in the back along with different door panels and seat upholstery.
