    71 Demon possible sale

I believe 12-15 k in this market is probably fair. Although I am sure it probably cost you more than that, to build that nice of a clone. Of course the " experts " will require a 100 point inspection from Galen Govier, and will want the Demon for 7k.

whats it worth? 1972 340 4 speed duster

I think that 340 Duster would fetch about $3500-4000 up here. We are used to starting with RUSTY project cars. I could imagine guys from the dry Southern States would be scared of it though. $500 is a BONEHEADED, INSULTING, assessment, in the first place. Mind you every car guy I know wants...

Are prices way down on classic muscle right now?

Muscle car prices are way down for sure, especially in decline since the muscle car boom from 2005-2008. At BJ in 2006, an Orange 1970 Hemicuda rag, sold for $ 2 million, plus 10% buyers fee. January, 2013, at BJ, a FC7 1971 Hemicuda rag, sold for $1,125,0000. In 2006, the Ray Allen 1970 LS6...

    Your best Mopar deal

In 2007 I scored a rust free, 1974 Rallye Challenger with a 1970 440 ( six pack block ) for $1800. Kind of funny because I had already shook the guys hand at $1500. His wife walks into the garage, and says, " NO. I think we should have the car appraised ". I said, " Why ?, How much do you think...

A band called CLUTCH does a song about a 73 Dart.

can i get a rear end from.....

All due respect, Sister, but why bother ? A-body 8 1/4 or EVEN 8 3/4, are NOT that hard to find. 8 3/4 cost a few bucks, but an 8 1/4 is almost FREE for an A-body. Out here they have very little value. Like maybe $200 for a complete bolt in 8 1/4 set up. Dakota ?, Jeep ? Talk about taking...

More info on Canadian 72 swinger 340s

Cool Rani. Can't say I have ever seen a 72 340 swinger special clone. I have seen 2 swinger specials for sale in the last couple years. 20k for an orange project car, and 10k for a solid running, driver. I can't remember what Color it was. They were both on Calgary kijiji. Cliff will remember...

More info on Canadian 72 swinger 340s

Yeah Darren used to be a hardcore street racer in Calgary. He's a character. Centerlines, on his Dart, and a spiked hairdo for the last 25 years !!!! The original 4-speed was stolen years ago.

Lets see pics of your green Darts/Dusters

I love 70 Swingers in F4. My dad had a 70 340 Swinger, F4, F8 interior, bench seat, 3-speed stick, rubber floor, white stripe. That was the car that started it for me. Literally. Apparently, I was CONCIEVED in it !

More info on Canadian 72 swinger 340s

My neighbour has a factory h-code 72 340 Swinger from Crosstown in Edmonton. It is a FE5 Red car with Black bee stripe, black guts, factory 4-speed, and 72 style scoop. It now runs a 360 auto, but is a very nicely restored car.

    73 Duster color dilema

I do not build for resale either, ....but....I. Also try not to make unwise Mopar decisions, in the event that I HAVE TO SELL something, or I need to sell to purchase a different car. No panties here either. And that goes for the MISSUS as well !!!!! LOL.

    73 Duster color dilema

Yeah, to each his own, that's for sure. My buddy had a 71 Charger R/T, u-code, 4-speed, Dana, ram charger car, originally f8 green. He had it BEAUTIFULLY, and CORRECTLY, restored, ( paint dabs, chalk marks, etc) in FM3 Panther Pink !!!!!! A Color that to my knowledge, was not even available in...

    73 Duster color dilema

I would go with the Petty Blue, especially since it is the original Color. Black looks badass on EVERYTHING, but keeping it looking clean is a P.I.T.A. Just my 2 cents. By the way, my biggest pet peeve, are Mopars painted HI-IMPACT colours, when they were not available color options for the year.

    Overevaluating owner vs. Car pimps.

I hate to say it, but MOPARIANS are hard to deal with in general. I have always found GM products to be a MUCH easier sell.

    Overevaluating owner vs. Car pimps.

Yeah. That's the ONLY thing I HATE about the "HOBBY", having to fend off "FLIPPERS", every time I take my car out in public.

    Overevaluating owner vs. Car pimps.

Good point. Sentimental value comes into play as well. At the same time, I think the fella was enjoying the attention, his primered Dart was getting. Even if a few guys probably pissed him off.

    Overevaluating owner vs. Car pimps.

Actually, I did not find him hard to deal with at all. Other guys that I talked to that day were saying he had ROCKS in his head. Those were probably the same guys who offered him 5 k. That's what I meant. I have also been in the owners shoes, ( many times before ), half of Calgary wants MY 70...

    Overevaluating owner vs. Car pimps.

So, I attended a major car show the other day. One of the cars that really got my attention was a primered 70 340 Swinger project car. It also had some interesting, ( and lack of ) options. FC7 paint, white vinyl top, white stripe car. Black bench seat, 3-speed stick , hood pins, rallye wheels...

Whats it worth - 70 340 Swinger Basket Case

Numbers matching is definitely a PLUS factor. However, " used to be a 340 car" is kind of a stupid term for anyone to use. If it is a factory h-code 340 car, it will always be just that. ( A factory 340 car ). Numbers matching, NOM, even running a 318 or 360, or no motor at all ! Just my two...

Muscle car envy, or just plain stupid ?

Yeah, the last time I drove my car, some guy in a new Mustang GT ragtop drove beside me for like 5 minutes straight, trying to agitate me. Then he took off like a total idiot, grabbing gears at like 5000 rpm. ( In a 60 kph zone ! ) He DID kind of remind me of NEEDLES !

Muscle car envy, or just plain stupid ?

I drive my nicely restored 70 340 Swinger as much as I can in the summer, ( 10,000 miles in the last 5 years ). Just about every time I am out enjoying my car, some late model Mustang or Transformer Camaro, or even a Dodge diesel truck challenges me. I think it's kind of funny, because I am not...

poll did all Dart swingers come with rally dash

Only 70 340 Swinger came with a FACTORY RALLYE DASH. 68-69 Swinger, GTS, 340/ 383/ 440 m-code did not. Also 71-72 340 Swinger ( WESTERN SPECIAL), DEALER ORDERED from CROSSTOWN in EDMONTON, OR PEMBINA in SASKATCHEWAN, did not EITHER.

    Cops love Mopars.

I had a 2002 Camaro SS Ragtop for 4 months and was CONSTANTLY getting tickets and NEGATIVE attention from police. Even doing the speed limit, a cop would be going the opposite way, and EYEBALL ME BIG TIME, and sometimes blow a DOUGHNUT and follow me, or STOP ME. I guess cops seem to notice a...
