    904 question

So assuming a slant and a 318 904 form the same generation, are all the internals interchangeable? I have a core 318 904 that needs rebuilt. I can get a rebuilt many years ago and never installed slant 904 for 80 bucks locally. Can I swap the slant 904 guts into the 318 unit?

When cramming a 727 into an early A......

......pay attention to the tail shaft. Nevermind flattening the firewall/floor seam and maybe mini-tubbing the tunnel north of the factory console bracket. We did all that when we put the 1st 727 behind the 408 in my son's 65 B'cuda a couple of years ago. He developed a leak and ran it too...

    727 question

Eventually, one on these years, I'm going to finish the 68 B'cuda ragtop. I am going with a 383 that I may or may not stroke out to 4-something. Regardless, it's an automatic car and will stay as such. Brings me to my question. I have avail to me, 3 727's. Wondering if one would be preferred...

Have these from a 69 C body. Are they the good ones that are able to be shortened to stock A body length and re-splined?

    Jakes65's upgrades coming

So Jake's 65 has been on the road for a year and a half, high school ended last June, he now has an 02 Ram as a daily driver, he's working full time and his 65 Bcuda has become his toy/weekend/occasional drive to work fun machine. All that being said - the bug has bitten and he picked up a very...

not an A body, but an 8-1/4 question none the less...

Will the axles from an gen I Dakota swap out with the axles from a gen III Dakota? Both rears are 8-1/4. Need to keep the 6 bolt axles and the rear I have a lead on is an earlier 5 bolt axle rear... Can I simply swap the axles/drums and be good to go? it is a 3.55 limited slip/sure grip with...

    early B 8-3/4 question...

    727 torque converter questions....

I know the balancing differences between the 360 and other small blocks..... My questions are: Balancing aside, what years will interchange from small block to small block? Will a small block 727 converter swap into a big block trans? For a stock 383 magnum, would a 2500 or 2800 stall be...

    Deep pan on a 65 904

So i got to thinking... When Jake and I put his trans back together, the deep pan from Mopar has a solid adaptor to set the filter low in the pan - it only has one hole machined thru it for fluid flow... The valve body and old filter has 2 holes - assume one is for the rear pump in the 65 and...

    273/318 torque converter question

I should already know this, but just in case I forgot.... I know a 273 torque convertoer behind a 318 needs the snub/hub adaptor to center it correctly in the 318 crank.... My question and absent mindedness is this: Can I put a 69 318 torque converter in the 65 904 behind the 318? If so...

    65 904 shift kit question

So I ordered the rebuild/shift kit/deep pan package online from Mancini... Specified 1965 trans and they sent me everything for a 72+... I called and they made good on the return/swap for the correct seal package, so I'm good there... They also said the B&M shift kit they sent me would not work...
