    Gear setup opinion

    Have tried every shim combo I can think of. Need pinion heighth set at 1.767 and closest I can get is 1.761 Will this be a big problem or is it completely unnacceptable?

    Ordered 6* axle shims to correct bad pinion angle. Superlift brand. They are flat on one side and the other is convex or slightly crowned. Is this so sprinds can flex or what? Flat side against perch or springs? Thanks for any help.

    Why a new crush sleeve?

    If you are only pulling the yoke to replace the seal and you retorque the yoke the same as it was when you pulled it why do you need to change the crush sleeve. Seems you would be changing nothing so identical torque would just snug it back to the original crush. What am I missing here. I did it...

    Towing with full floater

    My motor home is in the weeds and I dont want to crawl under to pull the drive shaft. Snakes, spiders, wasps all kinda crap that give me the heebie jeebies. Can I just pull the axles to flat tow it at 35 mph or so to my buddys house so I can work on it?

    Saw the way that he backbraced his rear and copied it a little.I,m really happy with the results.This is an a body housing with the perches moved to fit my 66 coronet its a 4.10 cone clutch 489 case. I think it turned out great.

    What is the process milling the caps for a 8.75 install. Anyone done this? On MW,s website they say milling required but dont elaborate. I have already back braced my housing and think caps at 105. is cheap piece of mind.
