here is photos of my hood scoops. they seem to have a edge at the opening that is thicker than the chrome inserts. it appears to make the inserts work i must take off the edge. the pics are worth a 1000 words understanding what im trying to say. (dustermatic, here is what i was saying.)

my 72 dart has the thinest front fenders you ever saw. you can take your finger and push it in. so easy to bend. no rust or sign of wear. is this a racing fender or something like that? i made them in 70, 71 and never saw ones this thin. a real pain ill probably put a layer of filler over them...

my dart has a rubber plug, no part number but reported to be orginal by the previous owner of this 2 owner car, they plug up the scoop holes. i guess car wash or rain etc. they do blow out at highway speed. wondered if they are something rare or odd. ??

i have need of some experience. put the hood back on the swinger. it has a straight gap on the pass side and on the drivers side. however the hood wants to set to the passenger side more, like it needs to be shimmed toward the drivers side. if you push it down onto the rubber bumpers it...

well, while looking at the price of new parts, and a trip to autozone for some rattle cans, here is a cheap anodized coating for the wiper motor and brakes. the pics are from cell phone, not real good but will show the results.(the last shot of a wiper motor is a real anodized part for comparison)
