Now that I have most of the major parts gathered have started the work.
POR the trunk(not finished),oil pan and rear axle housing. Still need to do backing plates , shock mounts, rear drums.. Pressure washed engine compartment, whole front end. Turns out the single 3.23 is in excellent condition. I have a sure grip 742 case sure grip 3.91 and a 3500 converter but have decided to go a slightly different direction witht the 3.23's and slant 6 converter that should stall at 2000 or so.

Fresh 360 Magnum, will repaint Chrysler turqoise to accent orange engine compartment. Big RT 360 Magnum 92-93 only 2 1/8 outlet exhaust manfolds, which outflowed all 340 manifolds.

looks good for the exception it the "link" type timing chain. unless my eyes are deceiving me.... i ran those manifolds in my duster back in the mid-late 90's and had to make a slim steering coupler for the column and the steering gear box had to be ground down. plus the drivers manifold would hit the firewall at times too. i can provide pics if needed...other than these small issues they worked great

Youre right it is a cheap 1 link I used to degree the cam with, Im getting a double roller this week, putting heads and pan on, crosswind knock off dual plane, mp dizzy, 750 holley with proform carb body, cheetah valve body in the 904, tci 3500 converter, 742 case sure grip 3.91..

The body is very straight, the panels all need alignment, need a door mirror

Really on the fence now ive got a 3.23 and a 3.91, a 2000 converter and a 3500 converter
the chunk would be easy to change but Im thinking a 3500 converter is a little much for 2 much 200 miles a week

will have to grind the covers to fit on 360 magnum heads, want to rebuild and eventually thermo quad off a 76 400

If it were me, I would go with the 3500 stall. If you are driving on the hwy often and cruising speeds, go with the 3.23's. If just 200 miles of non hwy driving, go with the 3.91's. Actually, just go 3.91's and have unregrettable fun!!!

about tires????Is a 235/60R14 (Bf Goodrich Radial TA"s) going to work on a stock 14 inch sbp 5 1/2 inch rim?

3500 stall is not for the daily driver you will cook the trans and go broke wasting fuel. 2000 rpm converter with 3.91's = fried tire when ever you want it. my .02. the tire will fit though will be a little fat on the rim not really too much of an eye sore. IMHO.

Pulled the bumper to replace the bumper previous owner when he painted it didnt remove the bumper--- found enamel orange rattle can and redid everything under the bumper and tag-----after sanding of course.

ok on the topic of exhaust manifolds. this is that i had to do to my steering shaft coupler to fit the magnum manifolds in my car. note the grinding of the steering box aswell.

Thanks for the post Sublime, with the variance in the k members due to quality control, it looks like maybe on others there might not have to be any grinding at all as you really haven't had to grind a lot off. From what I have seen here and in person there can be as much as 1/2 inch difference in clearance issues from car to car. It's utterly amazing to me that guys will spend huge amounts of time and money fitting a set of headers that are supposed to fit but are hesitant to go a little grinding and fabrication for a PERMANENT fix with proven high flow manifolds.

was painted yellow by guy i bought the engine from, he had a yellow dart and was going to color coordinate, now chrysler turqoise, with non magnum 5 bolt valve covers----going to install this coming week.....need to touch up engine compartment after /6 pulled
