First and foremost, thanks for welcoming me to your site (even tough I am an Olds/Chevy guy), but by the time this father/son project is over....I think "Dad" is going to have a Mopar playtoy, too!) To date; 1978 Z28 w/ 502/4spd, 1973 Olds Cutlass Supreme w/ 32K original miles (and MINTY, MINTY, MINT!), and 19-whatever MOPAR by the time this is done. I must say I am just as excited as my son is about this project!
Here are some pics. I took the son to look at the car the first time (second for me). By the time we got there the owner was unloading another '73 Duster. A slant 6 base model car with a bad case of the rust. BUT!!!!! It had alot of goodies! Like......factory tint windows, high back bench seat, all the chrome bits and pieces the project car was missing, PLUS, PLUS, PLUS!!!!!! It was a 3spd car! Which means it has all the goods (Dash stuff, steering column, trans hump sheetmetal, Z bar, etc....) to transfer the project car over to a 4spd if we wish. So we bought both of the cars and a complete rebuildable 360 V8 for a very good price. And my son has decided against Plum Crazy as a color and is going for Black with the White 340 stripe.
So now I'm going to look to you MOPAR nuts to tell me how this first time MOPAR'er did. What do you think?
