Can you view it on your channel?

yes it plays when I click on it... why can't I just copy my brower when it is playing and drop it here?
What is your You Tube channel? Let me give it a try. Just give me a link if you can.

Here you go.

do one or the other >>>
spin spline hold engine
hold engine spin spline.
the mistake I made was I pulled shifter out gear and into neutral before i attempted to install the engine . I should have left it in gear and with a little wiggle it should have went in perfect. . live and learn

update ... update ...
I put on at least 500 miles on the rebuild and just did a oil change and filter .. no silver at all in the oil on my 273 build and it is running Great ! NO LEAKS NO ERROS ALL HOME RUNS ! .. this 273 is making way more hp and torque now after the fresh rebuild and port and polished heads this time around . and will probally make even more after is loosens up some . very very happy ! the 273's rock !

You changed the block to a new one - what pistons are you running and bore size - thanks.....

Send that information through a PM. We don't want to turn the thread into a swap meet and get it taken down.

Hello Stroker402,

Am I understanding what you built correctly. A 1966 273 commando engine with 273 heads. Using OEM Chrysler head gaskets? What is the part number exactly? So I can look this up.

Am I correct you never found an exact match to the oddly shaped oem gasket you found installed?

Please sir.

the original style steel shim gaskets are not reproduced any longer.. I used some factory mopar 318 composite gaskets. I don't have the number in front of me .. there are pics somewhere on my post . other people have posted the steel shim gasket part number there also.

Sounds good! We're putting together a '67 273 Commando for my '66 Valiant Signet. Can't wait 'til it's done. Going to be referring to this thread many times, I'm sure. :)
