i have the chance to buy a 340 block date code 70. it has block filler in it.bored .30 over block and main caps only .whats it worth

What is the sellers asking price? Also depends on how badly you want a 340 block. One guy might have abudget of 700 and another might only have a budget of 300. There are deals out there. Search other recent threads on 340 values as there have been a few over the past couple of weeks.

Might be fine, most heat is in the chamber, last 2 inches of cylinder.
You can use a filled block on the street. Depends on how high it got filled.
It definitely encumbers the value IMO.

its filled past freezeout plugs.im just wondering if i should build or punt

If it's just above the freeze plugs you're probably OK. If it's filled to the bottom of the water pump holes you'll probably be in trouble.
