Nice.... That Indy Intake does not look like it sits too high either to fit under the hood?
thanks again for sharing the numbers and info; interesting to hear that the eddy carb did so well, i just suggested this one to a friend to use it on a 440.
Pretty interested in these cnc´d X-heads.....i like them.
A little of topic: it seems that these combos always like the open spacers. Brian, what do you think about these profiled spacer called super sucker? Did you check one of these on the dyno?
Michael
Brian- I'm looking at building a very similar combo. Spoke with Tom Molnar yesterday as well on the 4.125 crank & 6.123 rods. Looks like a custom piston has to be made? You mentioned a 6.20 rod & Diamond piston- can you confirm please? Also- assuming your (Ron's) 428 was a 340 base? Thanks!
Which 800 carb was used?
AFB or the AVS Thunder?
Being down 200 CFM vs the Holley, it did not do to bad.
Just a brief follow up. The engine has great street manners, and runs like a bat out of hell when you get on it. It wants to run. THANKS, BRIAN!!!
Haven't had it to the strip yet. One of these Thursday nights, I'll drive it 25 miles up the freeway to Irwindale. Will probably try it with street tires the first time out (275R60x15 T/As), just to get a feel for it and sort out any problems, then put on slicks the next time out.
stroker, you won't regret it
