My '67 Dart has a heater core with 5/8" tubes. The only fittings I can find to fit the intake are made for 1/2" hoses. Anyone else have this problem, are there 5/8" fittings out there? I have both a Six Pack and Edelbrock RPM and they both have the same size pipe fittng in them.

You can get brass - stainless steel etc in about any size configuration you need
NPT (national pipe thread) to hose barb

At the moment I am using the stainlees fitting. I have researched this a lot but can not find what I need.

Isn't this what you need? Let me know if it's not, because I'm about to order a set for my 273.

Autozone has Dorman listings for what you need and so would any Dorman seller; I would expect NAPA to have something.

You could go to the plumbing department at Lowes or Home Depot and buy a one or two inch steel pipe nipple threaded on both ends. Get the correct size to thread into the manifold and the threads on the other end will make the 5/8 hose fit much tighter than the stock nipples. You could also coat the inside of the 5/8 hose with #2 (non hardening) Permatex gasket sealer to guarantee against small leaks through the threads.

Any auto parts store should be able get what you need...all you need to know is NPT size and hose size, straight, 45 or 90 degree.

All that is needed is 5/8" hose barb to 1/2" NPT fitting. Should be easy enough to find

In a pinch you an use a 3/8" pipe nipple. A 3/8 pipe is about 5/8 OD

Their is a port on the drivers side of the intake that is larger but I can't see running the heater hose over the radiator hose to get there.

After looking up some pictures of Darts with these intakes I have come to the conclusion that I will either have to run the hose over to the drivers side, drill and tap the passenger side fitting to a larger size or get a '70 and up heater core ( if it will fit ) to put in my '67 Dart.

My intake uses 1/4" NPT. That's the problem.

Post a photo of the intake. Some Edelbrocks are a little "lame" on tappings. I have one I'm going to use, and need one more 3/8 pipe for the EFI sender. I reamed out the 1/4" tapping and ran a 3/8 tap through. It would have been easy, 'cept some moron broke off an adapted mechanical sender int there

This one had a 3/8 over on the right for heater, a 1/4" for sender, and a second 1/4" I've no idea WTF is wrong with Edelbrock. Just like the OEM, impossible to neatly use a mechanical gauge. Not only that, the heater fitting is on the WRONG SIDE

Clamped on the "welding table"

No idea what these morons thought they were doing. Looks like they "press fit" a mechanical sender probe through the middle of a bushing. I ended up chisling the inner tube off flush with a small sharp chisel, then drove "the remains" down inside.

Chisled it off, managed to get it out with an "easy out" This is 1/4" pipe

Drilled larger, and tapped for 3/8 for the EFI sender (Holley HP injection)

go midhose. I think most parts stores and even lowes would have a fitting that lets you run one size hose to this fitting then run the other size hose from there to the ending point. Don't have to make everything fit at ends-heater core and intake. I think my Durango came stock with this adapter pice in the middle of the hose sections.

Why not use a 3/8" female NPT to 1/4" male NPT brass reducer. They are common at hardware stores, box stores, perhaps a well equipped NAPA, and even in the assortments that you can find in Ottterzone and the like chain stores. Just google '3/8" female NPT to 1/4" male NPT reducer' . Apply some teflon tape to the threads and be done.
