1973,340,727,elec.ign., My Dart Sport dies when she warms up. I put a new cap and rotor, fuel filter on and it still does it. Let the car cool down for 15 min. and she'll start up again. What gives? Thanks.
Orange ignition box?
Sounds like a fuel feed problem. Check any neoprene hoses in the fuel line, sometimes when they get old they will collapse on themselves and starve for fuel.
Blame it all on jokenol. Sounds like fuel to me too.

same issue, my carb was flooding, stuck float , would start and run and as soon as the float bowl filled up it would die. tapped the float bowl with a hammer handle, then it would run , dirty carb. just a thought.
I had this years ago with a 72 Charger. Would idle all day long, but drive it ten minutes and it would die. Chased my tail around like a dog for two weeks tryin to figure it out. Finally dropped the tank, and it was full of crap. Washed it out and reinstalled, put fresh gas in, and all was good.A friends dart was doing that years ago. Ended up being all kinds of crap in the tank would clog the pick up screen. After it Sat for a little bit the car would start and run fine for 15 minutes then shut off again. Let it sit and it started up again. Drove us nuts.
