A-bodies.......Big motors

-
What's going on lately? Word is that HemiDenny's Duster just
come out of the paint booth and in the meantime he has been
finishing the all-aluminum 426 install in 62BT409's Demon after
HemiMark got it started. (photo link below - try the slideshow).

Yes, I know it's painted orange but it's all aluminum underneath.

HemiMark, meanwhile has started on his Demon which will have
a 4-link rear suspension and a big-block with 6 carbs!

New to site and new to owning an A body, 69 Dart. Looking for more personal opinions on the Magnumforce suspension stuff mentioned often throughout this thread. Sounds almost too good to be true, sounds like great stuff and almost too easy, and you know what Yogi Berra used to say: "nothing hard is ever easy"

Here is HemiMark's sister, Chris, jumping out of the T-bucket to start the race in the movie Hollywood Knights.

and here she is, way back when (redhead with the tamborine) singing backup for The Babies on Midnight Special (1979).

HemiMark and HemiDenny both went off at the Nat's and bought complete Softseal
weatherstrip packages. One for Mark's '68 Dart of which the body is now all back in
one piece and one for Denny's Duster. Denny is also getting all new glass even though
he has all of the OEM glass and also complete spares of OEM glass.

John, have I told you that you sir, are the best......... I was hoping you would pop in at the Nationals...... Next year for sure?

Another cover story for the brothers - MOPAR COLLECTOR'S GUIDE.

Duster Dave and friend Hank Ochoa got a nice 5 page write-up for
the Edmund Fitzgerald Challenger (see band at very top of the cover).

Not mentioned in the story is that the Historical Society is going to have
a tribute to the men who died on November 10, 1975 aboard the Edmund
Fitzgerald in Lake Superior. One survivor of each of the 29 men lost will
ring the recovered ship's bell in rememberence of that person and Dave
(Weeb) has been asked to stand in and ring the bell for one of the lost.

Dave and Hank also recently accompanied Mrs. Hudson (the Mother of
Bruce Hudson, the Challenger's original owner and the youngest man
to die on the Fitzgerald) to a Gordon Lightfoot concert where they were
invited backstage to meet with the artist. Mrs. Hudson has become well
known to Mr. Lightfoot over the years.

Lightfoot, who rarely signs autographs, gladly signed one of the air cleaner
pie plates for the Challenger. The last photo is of Gordon Lightfoot, Dave
and Hank.

(BTW....Hank also has an extremely nice 340 Demon.....)

While my body is finally being finish painted in Ohio and is waiting
for the new glass to be installed I have got everything else powder
coated and lined up ready to go in.

As soon as I start the reassembly I will have another series of photos
detailing the progress.

Also, 62BT409's Demon is 99% done and ready to fire up as soon
as I get one more fuel line fitting to match up.

Once these cars are burning rubber I will be able to give my personal
attention to making some custom K-frames and steering, suspension,
etc. for anyone that wants them (send me a PM).

Here is the thread detailing the Demon build and there are a lot more
pics over there.
