I read that P/S and power brakes were not an option in A-body cars with the 383 and 440 engines, the engine bay is too small. Is this correct? Thanks!
Thanks Jim!No, not correct. At various times power steering was available on 383. Not available on 440, but it does fit with the 90 degree fitting on the gear.

Picked this 72 dart up from a buddy last week, my good friend built it 17 years ago and he wanted to make it spear as factory as he could, 440/727 with power steering and brakes as well as working AC. It’s tight in there but fits and works great!

Thank you! Lol, I wish I could take credit for the build but I can't. My good friend built it. I do not know as far as the K frame what he did or used, the car was a 318 car. He used a B body ex manifold on the p/s and I think the d/s is a C body 440 if I recall? I could run the casting number to check tho. Sadly my buddy passed away several years ago unexpectedly and there is no real info or notes so to speak of what he did or how he built it. If there is anything you want pics of just let me know and I will try to get that for you!You (or whoever built this car) are officially my HERO! I’ve had this idea for several years. Fitting a 440, power steering, power brakes, a/c AND a 4-speed using all Mopar pieces including exhaust manifolds from whatever Chrysler product that would fit. PLEASE TELL ME MORE about this swap. Specifically, what k-frame and what motor mounts were used??
