Boil water madate issued in Lyons. Aurora is flooding bad too. Longmont and Broomfield has evacuation orders as well. 3 people dead so far. ****, flash flood warning now issued in Lakewood until 8:00 pm.

Still raining pretty good here in lyons.

We just took a load of food over to the elementary school where they have about 200 displaced people.

Also, just got a call, Xcel energy has decided to cut off natural gas service to Lyons, just
in case some of their equipment may be damaged or underwater.
We have gas stove, so time to break out the camping gear.
We have a couple cases of bottled water and we have plenty of food, so OK for now.

Now have some video up that I shot this morning.

I have been watching this on the news and weather station Yall be safe and help folks if you can..

I know, we just have cable internet though a small local isp. But so far, we have power and have internet. (thank god, dont know how long I'd last with internet).

Good to hear! They (your isp) must have an amazing infrastructure. Great you still have power too. Hopefully you'll be able to ride this out in relative comfort and good job on getting food to the shelter too.

Been coming down like 2 cows p!ssin on a flat rock here all week. No flooding though thankfully. Thoughts and prayers to all that are in need!

Getting to the shelter was no problem, its about 1/2 block from our front door.

On a side note,, the black walking bridge across the river thats in the video and one of the pics,,, is now GONE ! Washed away along with the concrete retaining wall, and part of the street.

They have now also shut off our water ! So no showers for us !

What about Jaws, he lives out east of Denver in Strasbourg. Any one hear from him? And don't forget Leadfoot, he's from Severance.

I pm'd lead but if his power is out or phone is down he wont be able to respond, also if he is fighting water he will be busy!

Well, best wishes to all who live out that way. Hope everyone makes it through ok. We had one big waterspout here in south east Wisconsin today. When I can I'll post some pics and a link to it. Take care, and watch out for guys named Noah.

I would think dave (JAWS) is kind of out of the flood area, he's quite a bit (35 to 45 minutes) east of Denver.

Hopefully he will check in.

Saw on the news, some guy in some denver suburb thats also having flooding, the guy caught a 2ft long Carp, what was spashing its way down the street !

I'm ok for now, have had almost six inches of rain. House is up on a hill, but several roads out here are gone. Several of the wheat fields that hade just been planted are under water.

My boyhood home is gone, as is my Granddad's '91 Ram and any other momento's I'd hoped to have of his. Grandma is safe in the shelter, they had to get her with a front-end loader. Heard the bridges over the St. Vrain are now in question.

Their house was all of 50 feet from the river. I asked grandpa once about a flood. He said, "It's a hundred year floodplain. I won't be here next time it floods." Turns out he was right.

Be safe, all.
