800 cfm Revised GM model with egr port.

From "The Carburetor Shop LLC" website.

"In addition to the racing carbs (850 CFM 4846 and 1000 CFM 4847), Carter also offered some high performance aftermarket units of 800 CFM. These are: 9800 (GM linkage); 9801 (Chrysler linkage); 9810 (revised GM with an EGR port); and 9811 (revised Chrysler with EGR port). The 9800/9810 are direct Q-Jet replacements. I have one on my own GTO."

Damn. Still neat though

What's the green finish on the throttle shafts?

The green finish MAY be parkernizing.
I don't think so, because the green finish is smooth. The parkerizing finish I'm familiar with is a dry looking flat gray finish. It's purpose is to provide a good wearing surface, somewhat rust resistant, especially when coated with oil. It is this flat surface that is a good primer-like base for paint.
The green colored treatment on the Carter carbs throttle shafts is very smooth. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Teflon coating because it's very smooth, almost slick feeling.

Sorry, I should have quoted, The green on carter throttle shafts is Teflon.

I posted a web link years ago for TQ's from Holley Rebuild shop still in shrink wrap mounted on cardboard for $100/e. There were multiple models. And the shafts were green.......

The green coating is Acheson Colloids. It is a PTFE dry film lubricant in a phenolic or epoxy resin. I remembered seeing this years ago when I was trying to learn stuff about Thermoquads.
