Just wondering if anyone here suffers from carpel tunnel syndrome?

I have had problems most my life, thought everyone was like that. Come to find out they aren't.

Well this summer while at the doctor for my wife she told the doc I was the one with the problems this time.

He gave me a quick exam and some advise. When I ask about who he would have do carpel tunnel surgery ( didn't know he did it too) he recommended 100 mg GRAPESEED EXTRACT.

Have been taking grape seed since July and my hand s never felt better.

So I have tried to get everyone I know with problems with their hands to try it to see if it helps anyone else or is it is just my imagination.

They are cheap, in vitamin section, and just 1 a day, so it is easy to take

So if anyone has problems and decides to try it please let me know if it helps, might take some time to notice a difference

Good luck hope it helps someone

Wow, that's really interesting.....I don't have that problem, but have friends that do and I will pass along the great info. Thankyou!

I was diagnosed with it years ago from turning wrenchs for so long. My DR had me take Vitamin B6 and wear hand braces at night ,so I did not tuck my hands in and close off cirulation. It worked for me no problems in long time.
Try the braces they do work! so does the B6

Same here Dwire,...seems to be worse when I work with bigger wrenches,...

Went to a Doc and told him "It hurts when I do that",...He said "Don't do that"...

Wow... I'm going through this right now. It started as a sore shoulder and continued into my forearm and finally into my index finger and part of my thumb. Right now, my index finger and part of my thumb are numb. This sucks because I use CAD software all day which has a bazillion mouse clicks every day.

Now I haven't been to the doctor for an official diagnosis, but everythinhg I've read so far indicates CTS.

Thank you for the tip! I'll give it a try.

I got it 17 years ago. Decided I didn't want surgery. Back then it wasn't all that successful. Switched to using my left hand for repetitive work, like computer stuff. Stop using a computer mouse - most harmful invention ever. I have no trouble with left hand but the right hand still acts up on occasion when I overdo it.

Exactly! Been wearing a brace at night for 9 years now. Ill wake up with a hand that is "asleep" with the tingling so bad itll wake me up with no brace. Went camping one weekend and forgot it, and it was terrible. No vitamins yet but Ill try anything. I went to my company clinic and finally complained and they asked when did it happen.."Uh about 9 yars ago??" C'mon it is a repetative movement injury, you cant nail down a time. So Workmans comp her in CA denied it saying it was out of the 2 year window so I just wear the brace at night. My right thumb and pinky are the worst hit, of course 1-2 hrs on FABO a day doesnt help!

Had the surgery on both sides. Original pain is gone.........but another one moved in to take its place. Doc did warn me that this very well might happen. I can say that the replacement pain does not keep me awake like the c/t did. Surgeon did tell me to give it a full 18 months before I worry about the replacement pain.

i have had it for about 7 or 8 years.it used to pop up and make a bump under the skin now it just stays sore right hand from wrenchin.dont hurt all the time but after a big job it does. going to check out your remedy....

I had the surgury on both hands 23 yrs ago from stretching seat cover in an auto plant.I had it severe, causing both hands to be numb, fingernails were purple from lack of curculation.I,d wake up with arms crossed and no feeling and go to work for 10hr shifts. Finally had enough, went for the surgury for release. Now my hands only get numb when carrying heavy grocery bags or useing a pressure washer for long periods. Thanks for the tip and I,ll pass it on to some co-workers with symptoms of CTS.

I thought it was CTS...went to the Doc and got the "Here's Motrin and a script for Physical Therapy". Didn't work. Numbness and tingling all up and down my left arm, then up into my neck. An MRI later showed I had two missing disks at C5 & C6, Bone spurs impacting my spinal cord and a pinched nerve....oh yeah, might still have CTS and Ulner Nerve syndrome as well. Then a month later my mouth started to go numb as well.....another MRI showed an abnormality in my right temporal lobe. I hopefully find out what's going on with that this Friday.

So, I guess my point is, get things checked out and don't be a tough guy about it....yeah, 20 years of ignoring things that hurt is catching up with me now. That was 20 years of "here's Motrin, go back to work"...thanks Navy Corpsman :(

The thing is,as we get older things take much longer to heal...even if they do heal.Good luck.
Very true....and then s&*t happens that is just plain f&*ked up. I shredded the long bicep head in my left arm. Had surgery on my shoulder, removed a bone spur and the bicep tendon was snipped due to the damage. Went thru therapy and was told to I will find there is certain things I will have trouble with. So far it is the twisting motion of using a screw driver in my left hand, can still do it but there aint a whole lot of oomph to it and dragging things. The motion you would make when dragging a rope behind you while walking and pulling it with your arm as you walk.....just does not happen anymore. And need to pay attention when lifting anything heavy over my head....The aging process is a wonderful thing...

I know the braces worked wonders for me, I would wake all night long with my hands asleep and then they would tingle off & on all day long. At times it would tingle up to my forearms. I guess I can Thank Ford for all of their front spring recalls I did on the F350s back in 80's

I did braces first. Didnt work. I had surgery in both hands and it was the best thing I ever did. No issues and its been 10 years.

I've got the braces and used them for a long time, 10 years ago was going to do the surgery but too many horror stories for me, so I just lived with it.

The whole point of my post is for those that have it an option to try and see if it helps.

I no longer wake up with numb hands like I had for years (no longer wearing the braces either) CTS is numbness in thumb, index and middle finger, if it is your ring finger and pinky that is out of the neck.

I had my whole hand going numb this past summer due to my new job. Ended up with an injection at C7, and think it helped some. But that was just the right side. CTS is both left and right, tested SEVERE BI LATERAL CARPEL TUNNEL in July, since taking the GRAPESEED extract cannot believe how good my hands feel. Riding my motorcycle and hands no longer go numb.

Hope this can help someone. If you try it please let me know in a few months if it helped

The other suggestions could help too.
