Changing Oil Pan Gasket

How hard will it be for me to change the oil pan gasket? Will I be able to get in there and remove all the bolts with out having to remove the engine. Thanks

You wont have to remove it but you will probably have to loosen the mounts and jack things around.

When you say jack up the engine. I am tracking loosen up the motor mounts so I can move it up a few inches but were do I jack it up from?

Not sure what your working on but loosen up mounts and shift it around a little doesnt take that much to get to bolts, then wiggle pan out.

I have a 225 slant six in my dart.

Im so sorry Im thinking v8 I dont have a clue on the 6 but I dont think it would be too bad to do.

It's tight. In anything but a truck, I always pulled the motor. It's not that bad.

It can be done, but it is a pain in the butt. I Think it is no harder to pull the engine, then it is easier to make sure the gasket is installed oil tight.
