I didn't have to look for a Charger for you. I didn't have to give you good advice I HAVE given you in the past. I haven't had to do a thing regarding you, but I have. That's time I'll never get back. You might think about that. I've spent a good deal of time in the past trying to help you find a car, Dan. You've shot all of them down and those from everyone else too. You're a time waster. You'll never own a Mopar.....if you ever did. And don't tell me, because I don't want to know and I don't care.
and yet, here you are, hammer in hand, once again. You can't help yourself can you? You just gotta open your mouth. It's impossible for you to just be quiet. You must be a riot in church!

Dan don’t let life pass u by. Get a car b4 it’s too late. I’ve always wanted a 70 Road Runner but sadly that isn’t in the cards. It a car I sold 30 years ago came back to me last month. This made me happier than I can ever say. Here is some pics.

My favorite body style and year. I even like the color combination.

I like those 68-69 dart too
Dan, it’s not perfect. It’s showing its battle scars. Actually the pics make it look better than it is. I’m just saying don’t nit pick everything to death. That’s what happened with me and a couple road runners. Now I’ll never have one. Get a car and enjoy it. Better late than never. Kim. SORRY about derailing your thread.

I agree, I really need to get one before it's to late

I've been on forums for a very long time. Unfortunately its not unusual to have the self proclaimed 'more important senior members club' gang up on people. This place has been pretty good but not perfect. This behavior greatly detracts from the experience. I have been on the wrong side on another forum and just stopped visiting. It seems hard for some to walk away from threads that rub them the wrong way. Often not owning a car makes you a second class citizen too. People just need to ask themselves if they are making the place better or not when they post. I'm sure I haven't always been an angel but I try.

A friend of mine is looking around for a car, I tell him that Id like to see him get into an A body Mopar cause A/ they are cool and B/ like @toolmanmike has said, they are steadily climbing in value. But he doesnt have the funds yet, so he is looking at other alternatives that he would like.
Get something that will make you happy, everyone else can go to hell if they dont like it.

As long as he's been here you would think he'd absorb just a little of the information learned.. When every thread is a how to or why are y'all so mean to me it really begs the question. Is it a lack of funding? Per Dan he has the funding. Is it a lack of skill? Per Dan he has the skill to surprise all of us. So what is it that keeps Dan lurking in the shadows. Boredom? Lack of social skills? We'll never know. But until then we should all be mindful of his willingness to learn because 1 day he will surprise us.

Hey Dan, I see your position and frustration.
However, life is about compromises...
Be it work, marriage, family, kids, cars, or whatever.
You can't have perfection in life no matter how you would like it to be that way.

Yes, you have been ridiculed by several members on this site including me because you brought it upon yourself.
It's long past time that you pulled the trigger and bought a car, be it good, bad, or ugly.
Buy the one that's close to what you want and then personalize it to your tastes like most of the rest of us do.
We all want the best bang for the buck, but some times compromise is a good thing.

If you are worried about what everyone thinks of you, get it in your mind that it's your money, your time, and your car... regardless of what others may think.
And you're too worried about making a mistake (in your mind) than actually biting the bullet and buying a car that you could enjoy in the long run.
If you are a dreamer, then there's nothing wrong with that.
But, you have to sometimes put up or shut up or man up.
And that's life.
Good luck on your future quests...

He responded to the 68 Charger I posted that it was 100K too much. It was 124K. Finding a Mopar in the condition he says he wants for 24K is gonna be a tall order. I paid attention to what he said he liked and went and found one, but all I get is "you never help and all you do is ridicule". @toolmanmike immediately latched onto my point by posting that Charger. That if Dan doesn't act SOON, almost any Mopar will be out of his reach. I could have posted something like this, but I didn't, because I know Dan wants something nice. See, I was paying attention and that wasn't good enough.....just like it's never been.

i've said it before but it bears repeating: i wholly believe that "dan" is an experiment by a highschool class studying sociology. each semester brings a new slew of students to the project that picks up kind of where the previous left off.

same, same. i've posted and sent him a TON of cars that are supposedly in his price range and each and every time there's an excuse.

literally every car that i've sent him was decent, met nearly all the criteria, and you could fly out here and drive back to wherever in podunk it is that he's living.

****, i've even offered to build him a car.

it ain't gonna happen. he's too happy driving his wife's taurus around

LOL Now that's a twist.

And here's what he's missing.....unless he's a psych class. .....ANY time spent by ANYONE on here trying to find him a car is an attempt at helping him. He can't give us that time back. After all this time and he's still not gotten a car, all we see is a poser. ......and that AIN'T our fault, is it? But he blames US for our tainted delivery. lol When I joined here, I was Moparless. Nobody made fun of me because of it. The difference is that I didn't act like Dan. And guess what? The FIRST member that sent me a car she thought I'd like (Thanks @Princess Valiant) I BOUGHT IT. I had to rob Peter to pay Paul to do it, but I got it, because I knew if I didn't get it THEN, I likely would never own another one, because I saw on the horizon that A body prices were starting to climb, even early A bodies like mine. I can't imagine what the prices will be in another five years.
