-

thank you cudachick. you do really nice powder coat work

Damn.... been a while since I have contributed! Done all kindsa' stuff since I started this thread! Lots of cool stuff has been posted too! Awesome work in all facets of fab work!

Here is something that Im certain most of you will not recognize, but I designed this for a friend that hosts "Body suspension" events. You know.... where people hang themselves from fish hooks! Yeah not me deal either but he wanted this 5' long rig made up. I designed it real quick, laser cut it, and welded it up.
I love anything fabricated like this and has all these geometric holes! :)

I agree!!

I wish I knew how to do auto cad or solid works. I fab stuff out of my head and sometimes it doesn't go well but I try. Here is some of my most recent work.

I had to fix and repair a 77 charger decklid a couple years ago . it was punched in at the lock area . believe it or not , these things are damn near impossible to find in good shape. the parts lid was rusted out at the front seam and deamed unusable. im not much of a body guy , but it came out pretty nice. im constantly working and fabbing up my own stuff. my welder is my best bud

Good job!

Built 18 sets of these. Lots of my pals helped with water jet cutting/ welding/polishing/pressing, etc.

Some of you are makin' me feel REAL inadequate................

I built a freight elevator for the appliance store I work for. It would handle 4 of our biggest refrigerators or 4 washers and 4 dryers on top of them in one load! Platform was counter weighted and ran on reinforced channel guides using ball bearing dryer drum rollers. The store burnt down 4 years later and the excavater operator told me he was unable to break a weld while he pulled it out of the remains of the building to uncover more of the fire. Sorry, no pictures.:(

My first welding project, A Radio Flyer I built for my daughters 1st birthday present. 1" box tubing, racing kart wheels, hubs, and spindles,15 x 6.50-6 turf tires, quarter midget 40 lbs per inch shocks that are nice and soft, and a custom modified bike seat with harness.

Some people on this thread can probably build a whole car from scratch. I don't have much in the way of equipment besides a drill press, but I make stuff from time to time.

Here, I was trying to solve the problem of the poorly-designed Addco sway bar mounts. The bar hangs below the K-frame so it is always hitting parking lot curbs, and this is what happens to the L-bracket (shown mocked up on a scrap K-frame) [photo 1]:

So I cut up some heavy angle stock to make a double L-bracket (top and bottom). [photo 2 & 3]

I also modified a hardware store U-bracket for my racer-style end link (no bushings, only heim joints). [photo 4]

I actually sent these pieces to CudaChick for powdercoating. Oh, and my K-frame has been seam-welded and reinforced, so the narrow lip the sway bar bracket is bolted through is much tougher than stock.

Built front and rear bumpers, built seat mounts, built a tire gate and did a hood scoop transplant on my 99 ram

Also made frame connectors, rear axle brace, lower control arms and hydraulic rack in my 87 fifth avenue

On my dart I built a stainless tube grill and reverse hood hinge, with a tone more fan work in the plans

The 46 is gonna get its fare share of fab work also
