Wow, 3 posts and no mention of the great Earl Salley!!! Earl is a longtime Frotier (rub board player) from Terrence Simien and the Mallet Playboys. If you've ever gotten the chance to see the group in person, you would have surely not have forgotten it!!! I used to work for the big Frog Island festival every year, and Zydeco night was friday. Whenever Terrance would play, the next morning we had to go completely through the portable stage mountings and make sure they were still tight!!!

Also no mention of Cleveland Chenier??? He was the pioneer of the Zydeco rubboard, playing along side his nephew Clifton, the king of Zydeco!!! There, I mentioned him, and all the others who may come along after!!! Thanks cudaspaz for bringing this little known insturment into the limelight it deserves!!! Eh Toi Mon Ami!!!
