fired my unknown motor that i bought ,took a chance, its sounds pretty tough.i have an oil leak on the 90 degree ''thing'' for the oil filter. What has been done: took the original backer plate off
Bolted 90 thing on with no gasket on the banjo bolt.
Question is what gaskets and where do i get em
Thanks again if i wasnt for u guys i would be ''*@()(# ed''

It's a round gasket that comes in the kit, I'm sure you can get one separate. You also need a brassish washer under the bolt head. Don't tighten it down as much as you think it should be either, or it will go back to leaking!

You could make one easy too.... You know, I just looked at the fel-pro set I got, and it doesn't have it listed, but it is in there.......

I was hoping to get a PN#....

Wait, I got some in the shed, maybe they used to list it.... BRB

*EDIT*

I can't find a PN#, but IF you don't feel comfortable making one, and can't find one without buying the whole kit abd kaboodle, I have one in my cold clammy hand, and can mail it to you for probably a buck.

You can still get them from the dealer, just bought one.
not at the dealer by me,unless you have a part #.they have the worst parts guys in the world, except for kragens, they are the worst!lol:violent1:

there are two different adapters for small blocks just as there is two different plates. Early blocks take a kit of three gaskets .One large composite, One composit covered metal washer for the bolt, and one 3/16 thick cork gasket for the bolt after it is slid throught the adapter. Make sure you remove the metal plate in the block for non adapter use and disguard. The new block such as magnums and crate motors including Restos and R-3's The blocks take a different adapter then the early blocks. The surfaces of the inner and outer gaskets are on a different level then the early blocks. newer blocks take the newer aluminun adapters . check to see you have the right adapter for your application. I had this problem when I went from an X block to a Resto and had to get a plate from a new dodge truck at the dealer. I have newer style aluminum adapters if needed.

You can get the kit with 3 gaskets from Summit.I just sold one to 65Vart lastnight, cause we can,t get the kit at the dealers anymore up here(Ontario,Canada)Summit sells for around $12.Good luck.
