How to determine G3 Model Year

I bought a Zero Miles G3 5.7L (DR Version) and was told it was a 2008. I'd like to know FOR SURE. It does have MDS. I have a picture of the barcodes on the valve cover:

I know it is at least an 06, because 05's (and earlier ) had the aluminum valve covers...
 
OK - here's the real way to decode the barcode on the cam cover. <ine is indeed an '08, without VCT, but with MDS.

Yeah, I figured I'd ask here first, and if nobody answered, I'd go to the expert. I work for a Tier 1 supplier and have a colleague who has a direct contact with Chrysler Gas Engine Engineering. So he answered with the awesome decode on the valve cover barcode.

Not sure the Production Line number is correct. ( ie 1 being the 5.7 line and 2 being the 6.1 line) My 6.1L code also has a "1" in this spot. I had thought this number was the Shift number?
