O’reilly auto parts

hey, Its O'reilly: Just walk 'em back.
ay least it was the rear, easy to removeGot the job half done tonight due to this
It ain't O'Reilly's fault. It's the American "gotta have it now and cheap as hell" thinkin's fault.
Everything comes from China.
Im not a fan of tarifs but it might force improvements.
In my last job (95% of work force laid off july 9) i delt with chinese contract manufactures. I would send a detailed spec and drawing of a simple 2 wire extension cable. They would send a sample. Should have red and black insulator color. Nope black and white. "Ok ok we promise it will be 100% correct when you place the order"... NO, SEND 100% correct sample or no order. They send a new sample, red and black BUT the length is 1/2 as long as it should be. 5 iterations of this an i finally had a 100% correct sample. Placed the order and 90% passed inspection. UUGH. I dont tbink it is a communication issue i think they just dont care. In feb they take the month off for the new year and national holiday DAY takes a week. One of the CMs said that 25% of tbeir work force doesn't return after newyear
Yes sir!
I love how people blame China. Like China came over here and put a gun to the heads of the American CEO’s and forced them to send all their manufacturering overseas.
News flash, that’s not how it went. Greedy American CEO’s and shareholders made that call. And you know what? They know about the quality too, and they don’t care. The almighty dollar is the bottom line, and those guys are still making money hand over fist because cheap *** Americans are still buying all of it at Walmart. Meanwhile people like the Walton’s are billionaires, their manufacturering is all overseas, and working at Walmart in the US is a minimum wage job with no benefits or future for the majority of their employees. But it’s China’s fault? Sure, ok.
Again, who is to blame here? Your company was still sending the manufacturing to China, still getting piss poor results, and still not going elsewhere.
But yeah, that’s totally China’s fault for forcing your old company to make the decision to use them.
