Got the job half done tonight due to this.

Where did you get that little gem? Maybe someone with casting experience will chime in... doesn't look good for sure.

Chink chow wow, typical quality from over there. I opened a rotor box that had about a 1/4" deep x 3/4" long flaw in the pad face... :soapbox:
MAGA

That sucks, I just got there premium pads for the back of my truck.

The best Chinese JUNK money can buy. Problem is that IF you can find good rotors not made in China, they are expensive.

Old style rotor-cone bearing go inside.
One i got was loaded with casting sand. I always wash them before assembly.
Today was a rebuilt caliper with stripped mounting threads, other side was boxed wrong. Been a while so its bound to happen.

Made in USA...WTF? You pay $600 for a new S&W pistol and you get this?

It ain't O'Reilly's fault. It's the American "gotta have it now and cheap as hell" thinkin's fault.

Everything comes from China.

Had a cardone re man rack lock up solid while I was checking coustomers car for a noise , I installed the rack one month prior ,thank Christ it happened to me at a slow speed and not anyone else would have killed someone for sure!

Im not a fan of tarifs but it might force improvements.
In my last job (95% of work force laid off july 9) i delt with chinese contract manufactures. I would send a detailed spec and drawing of a simple 2 wire extension cable. They would send a sample. Should have red and black insulator color. Nope black and white. "Ok ok we promise it will be 100% correct when you place the order"... NO, SEND 100% correct sample or no order. They send a new sample, red and black BUT the length is 1/2 as long as it should be. 5 iterations of this an i finally had a 100% correct sample. Placed the order and 90% passed inspection. UUGH. I dont tbink it is a communication issue i think they just dont care. In feb they take the month off for the new year and national holiday DAY takes a week. One of the CMs said that 25% of tbeir work force doesn't return after newyear

Best Chinese contract manufacturer quote ever..."Our workers work faster then your American workers" that is while he was sent over from china to dissemble and retrofit 500, fifty pound battery packs they screwed up.

Yes sir!

I love how people blame China. Like China came over here and put a gun to the heads of the American CEO’s and forced them to send all their manufacturering overseas.

News flash, that’s not how it went. Greedy American CEO’s and shareholders made that call. And you know what? They know about the quality too, and they don’t care. The almighty dollar is the bottom line, and those guys are still making money hand over fist because cheap *** Americans are still buying all of it at Walmart. Meanwhile people like the Walton’s are billionaires, their manufacturering is all overseas, and working at Walmart in the US is a minimum wage job with no benefits or future for the majority of their employees. But it’s China’s fault? Sure, ok.

Again, who is to blame here? Your company was still sending the manufacturing to China, still getting piss poor results, and still not going elsewhere.

But yeah, that’s totally China’s fault for forcing your old company to make the decision to use them.

I didn't blame China. I blamed American buyers who want it all, want it now and want it for nothin. I see it everyday. People want the cheap chinese **** even cheaper.

Corporations make it as cheaply as possible to make more profit... That's how corporations work now... Profit before quality... You gotta make more $$$$ on the bottom line to please the stock holders or else they will sell out....

It doesn't matter where it's made, it depends on the ethics of the corporation and the management that is running it...

I think a lot of you are way off base here.
I only buy products made in China.
The Chinese manufactured goods are made of the highest grade materials, and go through a rigorous quality testing procedure before being shipped to the suppliers in North America.
Their workers go through a rigorous training procedure before they are allowed to manufacture products, and are paid top dollar with superb benefits for their skills and expertise.
They use state of the art cutting edge tools and equipment for machining and designing products.
Their pride speaks for itself with the high quality parts produced.
They put quality and customer satisfaction first before profits and production quotas.

Talk to any C.E.O. and that's what you will be told.
Why would they lie to you?
