My 1967 Cuda Restoration

-
Glad to see progress Tony! When do you think it's time for paint??? Any other major bodywork?

Thanks redfastback
They gotta work out the bottom of the driver side front fender with
a repair piece. Somebody "tried" to fix the rust on it years ago. I've gotta
get the door hinges fixed before he can do the fender work. Wants
to make sure the door is hanging in the correct position.

All of the rust has been repaired.

Engine compartment should be sand blasted this week, then it will
be finished out.

I'm guessing paint will come sometime in December. After paint it goes
to my engine guy for the install along with the tranny. He will also
install the torsion bars and set up the 8-3/4 with with some 3.55's

Probably sometime after the first of the year I'll get to take it to my
new garage and start with the assembly. The fenders will not go on
until it's at my place. Don't want to be doing any work over top of them.

Stay tuned....more to follow

Rich from the body shop called me this morning to come
over and take some pics of the 'Cuda before it is in primer.

It's very difficult to take a picture of a Black car done right.

What do you guys and gals think?

It looks just great.
Nothing like a black car done right.

that look great useing ppg stuff that what my guy likes. we had a place called the rod shop over in ohio. 70s lots of race cars came out of there.keep up the good work. mopar nats or carlysle. this year? that will be a must see. als

WOW WOW WOW. Very happy for you. Looks fantastic Tony. That's how it's done. I would not want your painter's lungs hehe but props to him for sure. Those lights look really straight and looks like the clear layed out perfect. Can't wait to see some reflective pictures in the sun.

Rich will buff it out the first time Tuesday.

I stuck my head inside and took a couple of pics while he was
mixing up more paint. I couldn't smell a thing. The paint booth
is heated and is a down draft type. I think any over spray
went straight to the floor and into the filters instead of his lungs.

I'm a happy camper tonight!
