I just bought this 1971 D100 truck with no rust and it has a running 318 and I just bought this LA 360 on E-bay and the heads end with 308. I have $1,000.00 cash and the truck as 355 rear but I can get a 310 rear. How do I build this. I am in Lancaster california

Depends on what you want out of it.

I'd find out the compresion ratio and grab a cam, carb, exhaust, iginition, B&M flex plate for the internal/external balance issue between the 318 and 360, then call it a day.

Id say turbo the smallblock or go bigblock. of course dont tuch ANYTHING in the cosmetic area and a nice quiet single exhaust with cutouts
