Pun intended? You may want to run a Jomar 100% No-Bypass oil filter on the fresh build. It's saved my bottom end when valve train harmonics destroyed the needle bearings in my T&D exhaust rockers. Highly recommended!

I'm sorry, but no pun intended on this one. I'll be the first to admit I throw puns around along with a good dose of sarcasm, but I don't understand what your saying with this one?Pun intended?![]()
69conv got my bizarre humor.I'm sorry, but no pun intended on this one. I'll be the first to admit I throw puns around along with a good dose of sarcasm, but I don't understand what your saying with this one?
On a related machine shop horror story back when I was young, I was trying to get a 440 built by a shop called Performance Technology in Mountain View, CA back in the early '80's.
Not only did they not pull the galley plugs and clean the passages and part thoroughly, but the also nicked the crank when they slammed the rods in without sleeves on the rod bolts or carefully guiding them in. The crank had severe nicks in it and the rod bearings looked worse than the OP's.
It was a **** show. I ended up taking them to small claims court and winning, but no one ever wins when people do incompetent work on a project though. Then I studied and tried to learn how to build motors myself and did so successfully.

Prices look a little steep. I dont know any shop, myself included that charges anywhere near 2 grand to assemble a long block.Just got a workup sheet from the shop and I thought I would share so yall could see current prices.

There is no next give away. You have an awesome ride and Ill do everything I can to maximize it. If you pick up a 360 Ive got the replacement pistons for you. PM me. If you want performance stroke it to 390 but for your ride I'd keep it stock or light her up!!!Asking for a friend...... How does someone get in the giveaway for the next "BB Dart"???
From the previous post: "Considering the fact that she would break them loose at will and burn til I let up its probably all the power I want with this ride. The frame is a little rusty and I'm afraid to make her hook better. I know there is always a faster car out there and frankly she will give a good run for her money to the BB Dart I gaway. At least for now..."
In the corners where the gaskets meetCan you tell me where u needed the rtv?
It appears as though they missed. Send them out for a proper porting and valve job. Gasket match the intake and clean up the plenum too.So I'm seeing port matching but no bowl work or anything else. What do you think?

You’ll have a better idea on if there was any worthwhile bowl work done, after the valves are removed. So I'm seeing port matching but no bowl work or anything else. What do you think?
