Ebay listing for a 72 Cuda. The engine is described as this: "ENGINE - Mopar Fuel Injected 440 Super Commando V8 Crate Engine (New) by Bouchillion Performance Engineering - 560 HP - 560lb ft Torque - Aluminum Chrome pulley system - Polished Aluminum belt drive system - Aluminum Radiator with dual cooling fans"

Below are two pics of the car. Here is the link: 1972 Plymouth Barracuda | eBay

Geez for the $120K asking price you would think they could get the engine size correct!

And..... that stupid fuel cell in the trunk. So much cobble on that car. For that kind of money anyway.

"Frame off restoration" "Full Frame powder coated street chassis by Schwartz Performance Inc." These comments lead me to believe this ain't no 440 SB. But I could be wrong.

It's probably not for sure. I looked on the Bouchillon site and they offer no 440 small block. I also didn't see a big block that matched those power numbers, but it could have been custom built.

I love when people say "Frame off restoration" then proceed to say custom paint, powder coated frame, bigger engine, 6spd conversion, 9" rearend and custom interior. Umm whats the restored part?

I was wondering if a 440 mopar small block could be built too, a sbc can . What is the kicker for me is the powder coated frame !------NOT!!!!

Small blocks CAN be stroked to 440 cubes.
That’s also what I was first thinking as a possibility but they are calling it a Super Commando 440 so it seems like we ought to see a big block. The guy is selling some other cars on Ebay, so probably a typical dealer who knows very little about the car they sell.

Thats probably a 440 small block crate engine. Those were sold for quite a few years, might still be.

Here's the thing..........I detest people who refer to an engine by it's stroked/ bored size AS IF IT is the original. You don't HAVE a Chuvy 383, M-Kay? What you HAVE is some Chev SB that has been bored and stroked TO 383.

Just some flipper throwing phrases he's heard before.
I guess he forgot the "Posi" pitch.:D
