Total douche bag !!!!!!!!
SO agreed on that. It s amazing that you build your car for you and no one else and some A-hole ranks on your first day out with the new ride and let’s not forget the change from AWD to RWD state! Quite frankly I’m glad you posted up your stuff and the Trials and tribulations of the day. It isn’t as easy as others make it out to be. Keep at it and the best of luck with the new ride. Going from AWD to RWD is a new beast to learn. I think a new thread in the racers section about your traction would be a real help from the been there and done that crew.
not a bench racers, didnt mean to shit on your post as you called ,good luck with your car, hope it works out for you
Rumble's set in concrete, in what works for his knowledge. He's more than willing to learn ,what it takes for the winning light ,at the Chrondeks .. Hopefully, Rob agrees....
What I’m set in is “Your car, your way, for how you want it, for what your doing.” If your trying to go as fast as you can within your limits, I’m all for helping and listening. There’s more than one way to skin a cat! LMAO! I don’t know what “Chrondeks” is. But this thread is getting off track as it was designed and stickied to help others by showing them how you did it. Someone wondering how to “do it” may find this thread, find your build and copy it closely or exactly. There’s no shame on a copy cat build. In fact, you flatter the person you copied. OH! I plan to flatter a couple of fellas here by the way.
Chrondeks : usually the normal accepted timing light / timing system by most timing systems/ association(s)....
I sold my first Mopar that I strip and street raced to a friend that was into dirt track racing and he asked if I would build him a nice little small block. This was probably around 38 years ago so I said yes and he said how much would it cost him. I told him 5 dollars plus parts and he laughed. With the five dollars we bought a bag of jawbreakers that we all chewed on while building the engine 340 stock pistons and out of the box rings Polished stock crank recon rods Slightly polished set of J heads 484 purple shaft cam Portasonic intake 750 Holley 3200 pound Duster with super stock springs 727 with J convertor 1 7/8 headers 8 3/4 rear end with 4.10 or 4.30 gears First time at the track for him he went 12.40’s Next week he took 2nd and ran 12.20’s We always laughed and refered to it as The Jawbreaker Engine.
Nice combination! Exactly why I hang out here ,and the reason of this thread !
those are super cool numbers. running into the 12 with such a high 60ft time. top! And i fully understand that you want to go into 11.99 like me. Stick shifting as well ... but.....
my numbers before i blew up the entire engine. 72 Dart Swinger - 6.1, holley 750 DP, 5 Speed Toyota Supra , 4.10, ~3600 lbs - 12.718 @ 176.47kph ( 109.65 mph), 1.857sec 60ft, Drachten, Netherlands ( september 2016 ) on MT Slicks with 16psi this year new but stock 6.1 hemi barely could make a 13.1. I think without adding power somehow i will never be quicker than 12.6 even with lots of Training and small set up changes. Thinking of swapping back to a Auto tranny just for the races. Love stick shifting on the streets too much
We're talking 1/4 mile not the 11.50 you ran in the 1/8th. And just because your to dim witted to learn how to drive stick doesn't mean it's a thing of the past ! LOL
hey el 340 that was a 1/4 mile time ihave drove stick shift cars all threw the 60s find for the street not for racing i had a STICK shift camero yenko would have kick all you mopar ass rumble fish i have had more race cars and street cars then this could ever have far as name calling your ALL ASS WIPES
Well then that escalated quickly.
The infamous.. "Camero"... 1 of a kind.
NO 60 That shows how much you know last one sold at barett jackson 280 thousand
WhaAaAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt????? Can anybody make heads or tails of this post??? LMAO, never mind! It’s just babbling run on sentences that are meaningless
nasty from acme garage ,but if thats your life style ,so be it, by the way mine was a 1967 427
dumblefish what else could anyone expect from a new yorker lol
i have had my fun HAPPY NEW YEAR
I guess the play on the word "Camero" didn't work... like a B-29 giving ya a buzzcut.
LMAO! You have no idea what to expect from a New Yorker. Right back attcha to you and all!
Can’t figure out how! But when moparracerman spills his guts, I guess we’ll find out.
Yankme Chevies were weak at the strip and not much on the street. Most 340 and 440 cars would beat the Yankme's. So take your Yankme elsewhere. THIS IS A GREAT THREAD ! lets not ruin it. Sorry Rumble, he yanked me the wrong way
OH NO WORRIES HERE! He started in with someone above and I just called him a Douce bag. So now he'll just prattle on and on like a wonder lame duck. I really don't give two craps about a corn feed corn boy thinking he is getting crazy on me thinking he is getting my ghost. This was a great thread until he piped in OH NO WORRIES HERE! He started in with someone above and I just called him a Douce bag. So now he'll just prattle on and on like a wonder lame duck. I really don't give two craps about a corn feed corn boy thinking he is getting crazy on me thinking he is getting my ghost. This was a great thread until he piped in. Below is his crapola no reason post that I commented on (In Quotes below it.) The post helps noone and justridiculs other members. Instead of making dark remarks, he should have offered help in some way shape or form. I guess that is what you can expect from some people that drink to much corn milk instead of Ma'ma's breast milk at a young age. Maybe he'll also take some English classes. Until then, He can take his corn dog and yank it until 2020.
So let’s get back to helping each other by posting what you did to get into the 12’s!
