AWESOME Dart!! Since my current project is a 69 Dart, I'm robbing the top pic for a screen saver...i.e: Motivation to get it done!

What's the drivetrain combo...any time slips??

Thanks! It's a 417, ported W2's, custom JE pistons for 11:1 CR, custom grind Comp roller cam .645/.645 lift 266/272 dur @ .050 on 106 LSA, MRL lifters, 4 bolt mains, o-ringed block, TTi headers/3" X pipe, UltraFlo's dumped at axle, 727 (supposedly built) with Cheetah manual valve body, 8" Dynamic converter (5500 stall), 4.10 gear, triangulated 4 link built by Mad Dart.

I've only got about 15 miles on the new motor thus far and have yet to get it opened up. Been busy lately and going on vacation this week so it will be a bit before I get comfortable enough with car and trust it at the track. It was 13.9:1 CR before I had it rebuilt with lower CR to run pump gas (91 octane). With the bigger cam and having the heads ported further and the timing set to only 30 degrees total (will turn it to 36 with race fuel), I have yet to tell a difference. It might actually run better now than it did before. I was expecting it to have less power with the lower CR, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Good luck on your build!

New set-up as follows:

Fronts
15x6 Draglites with 3.5" backspace
165r tires
Stock suspension aside from 73+ disc conversion

Rears
15x8 Draglites with 4.5" backspace
Old school L60-15 "Super Stock" bias ply's (temporary)
Mini-tubbed with springs moved in. Going with 295/55/15 MT ET drag radials at some point

Love those wheels!! personally, I prefer the 'before' plasti-dip.. but they still look good .. nice job!

Thanks man. I did the dip one armed a few weeks after labrum surgery like an idiot. Sitting still is not my fortay by any means. Lol seems a lot like the original polished look. I want to be as different from everyone else as I can be. Tough to do in this day n age. Everybody does the entire black wheel or all centered black wheel with chrome lips. I cant wait to mount the 24" front runner tires. Should look perfect then and not hit the fender lip either.lol

You damn duster guy's are rubbing off on me. Im starting to like big butz now ya bastards. Lol

More pics! I'm in the process of putting all new suspension and brakes under my '64 dart, and am planning on throwing on some cop steelies I've got laying around on it! I'd really like to see some better pics of the entire car and see how I like the wheel and tire combo!

i only have my camera on my phone, apologies, and i just got her running again tonight, so these ones are in my shop, and theyre a bit dark. hopefuly they give you the ideas youre after.

Can you get a 15x10 wheel with an actual Protrac N-50x15 uner a duster? i am moving the springs in. What bs will work if you can?

How big is an N50 (section width)?

Under a dart a 10" rim with a stock 8.75 rear requires 7.5" of backspacing. And there is ample room left over. You have more room than a dart.

How far are you moving the springs? 3" or 1/2"?

I have 295/35/18's on 18x10's on my Duster in the stock wheel wells with a 1/2" offset and some trimming on the quarter lip. Backspace is 7", but that's on a 68-70 width B-body 8 3/4 rear.

They're only a 12" section width though, I'm pretty sure you'd need a mini-tub to run anything wider, I'm maxxed out with less than a 1/2" of clearance to the springs and quarters.

Yeah only going with the 1/2" no mini tub. So i will stay with what i have then. Thanks, was just going to try the old school look. lol I could fit a 15x10 wheel and a 285/60x15 Mcreary dirt tire then?

12.65 on a 10" rim i will assume. Coker has it posted on the website. said 8-10" rim

Go with the 10"'s with that wide of a tire.

Those will fit no problem. I have nearly an inch over that under my dart and again you have more room than me.

Yeah without a mini-tub the only way you'd fit a 12.65" section is if they hang out of the quarters. Which is ok if the rear end of the car is kicked way up.

You should be able to fit a 285 though, at least on the width. A 285/60/15 is 28.5" tall, so you may have to do a little work to make sure your axle is centered front-back in the wheel well. If you have an A-body rear, you'll want pretty close to 0 offset, just a little more backspace because of the 1/2" offset. For a 10" rim I'd be looking for about 5.75" of backspace, maybe up to about 6". I wouldn't go much less than 5.75, you can always add a small spacer if its too much.

My L-60x15 are 87" circumfrence the 285/60 are 89" not sure that will fit, and its going to jack the *** end up what too high i think.
