Not sure if this is the correct section to post but if not, moderators please move it, thanks!! Found a GOOD radiator shop in Meriden, CT.

Perreault's Radiator Shop
533 W. Main St. Meridan, CT

Walked in with my radiator and he knew right away what make it was from (great first impression). One man band from what I can tell, and the turnaround was what I expected. (a few days).
He also guaranties his work. I have no affiliation with him, it's just that I hate it when we lose small specialty shops like this.
Thanks for reading

I'll hop-on here, as I just dropped-off a radiator myself during lunch today. Sounds like the same place (small one man shop, etc). Guy there said he'd have it done for me tomorrow (Saturday!), to which I responded, "It's not an emergency, and it's more important for me to have it done Right, than done Right Now".

He kinda chuckled at that...

I'll be picking it up on Monday during my lunch break, and I'll try to remember to re-reply.

What kind of work did he do? A re-core? What does that run these days anyway. It's been a while.
I had a small leak at the top where the tank/core sit together. He had to take the top tank off, found a lot of blue RTV (not by me) that he cleaned out, reset the tank and resoldered the whole thing. Got the car running last night BUT it was going to rain so I did not have the time to take it for a ride. I'm sure it is fine though.

It's hard to find a good radiator shop anymore. The EPA has run all of the ones they find out of business. I had 2 radiators recored at a small town shop an hour away from me last year. I had a 2998949 and a 2998974 recored with high efficiency cores. $600 each. The old guy that owns the place is deaf as a rock....and TALKS REAL LOUD.

85GLHT...i live right around the corner from him, hes been doing my radiators for years. Nice guy and a straight shooter. You made me laugh cuz as soon as i walk in with my radiator or heater core he yells "CHRYSLER".. I would recommend him any time...Rich

I couldn't be happier that I found him (well a friend knew about him but didn't know if he was still in business).
Not many shops like this exist anymore.... sadly!!

For Seattle area -Stan’s radiator in Lake Steven’s was recommended by a friend of a friend who is a Mopar head.
Local Napa rep said Seattle Radiator would logically be worth a try as it is apparently been around since the 1930’s (but doesn’t have any real experience with them directly or through customers)
