Uh, isn't that an oxymoron? Are they ever done?
Welcome back John.

I have a new engine in the car, and was suppose to go to Test and tune today with it. Hmmm, Have you looked outside today? More of that wet stuff falling from the sky.

Missed your posts, sense of humor, and smiling face. You'll have to update us more on the 'Cuda. We're about a year behind. Good to have you back John.

What's all this? Everybody who used to be here is coming back? Are all the new guys gonna leave now?

OK...the short version:

Engine is STILL sitting on the stand. I was going to drop it in after re-doing the engine compartment but I suddenly had some extra cash fall in my pocket (instead of falling OUT.....) and I decided F`it. The car goes out to JM Performance in Ronkonkoma, Long Island (out by Mikel Beck....) and they're doing the full-boogie on it. Media blast to bare metal and make it pretty again. I've seen their work and it's NICE! I drop it off end of September and I pick it up in March <fingers crossed> I've also decided on a few upgrades, such as TTI's, high-output alternator conversion, Halogen headlights, and LED taillights.

July was a wash-out personally. I was doing yard work when I tore the miniscus in my left knee and had surgery. I was out of work for the entire month... THAT sucked LONG & HARD. And not in a good way.

Amy & me are doing fine otherwise. We're going to concerts like crazy and I bought a few more guitars.

I saw Steely Dan last week (awesome!) and I have Chille Peppers, Tool, and Alice in Chains coming up. Good Lord, I think I enjoy a live concert almost as much as a good, wet, sloppy blow...er, never mind.....

Good to be back!

welcome back! nice to hear your car is in the body shop:)
not much happening here, lots of good questions and good answers!
btw i took second place in a burnout contest!

Who's the dude who own's that place? Jim? I kinda know him, I was there looking for some parts once and he wasn't too helpful. I see him racing at E-Town now and then, I saw him there last weekend.

He does all the work for the Ancient Warrior guys I race on occasion, I can't recall a time that they've ever had an engine problem.

How'd you wind up going with that guy?

Yeah, Jim is the owner. Nice guy, once you track him down and get his attention.....:angry3:

They did my buddy's car, whom lives in Rocky Point and belongs the the Long Island Mopar Power Club like me, who has a B-5 blue `68 Barracuda 340-S car. It came out P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I was forewarned that he has an adversion to the telephone, but I was assured not to worry. Everyone has their quirks, his is comminucation. But I could care less as long as my car turns out as nice as my friend Chris' car!

Besides, he was the only guy willing to resurrect my shitbox....:-s

The car was a red on red `65 Belvedere with a roll cage, fuel cell, and running a big block on spray. NICE CAR. NY tags that read 65 BELV

They're located off of exit 60 on the L.I.E. across from Republic on 2nd. Ave. There's a whole bunch of little shops all along there. This place happens to do some killer work. I'll post updates as work progresses. maybe I'll meet you out that way one Saturday when I go visit my car.

I'll bust my buddy Chris' balls for a picture of his B`cuda. Friggen thing is drop-dead georgous! If they can make mine look HALF as good....:love4:

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm, makes me want to take the kiddies for a drive around the airport to watch the planes take off. He he he he.

That is a beauty!!

I just wish he'd change that damn drivers side hood spring/hinge! Just after the car was finished the spring let go and it looks like hell. Otherwise, that car is really something in person.

Just squint real hard and imagine it in turquoise....
