Somethings the site does that I don't agree

Ah yes, because on the assembly line 56 years ago you think that if the guy hanging the exhaust realized the bracket wasn’t there his only option would be to send the car back for the bracket?

Or, I dunno, maybe he’d just figure it out and get the car down the line.

Again, because there’s only one way to hang an exhaust pipe.

And, you know it’s perfect because you’ve seen the pictures? Or maybe the seller didn’t look that hard? Thought you jumped to the fraud accusation because you hadn’t seen pictures?

So, if you re-body a car and change the numbers over it’s cool, but if someone else does it’s fraud. Got it.
I didn't change the numbers I put the originals back on the clip that we put on the 340 Demon. That was the 3rd clip we put on that car since the late 70's for that same guy. the first 2 we swap the complete top. You can read but you have no comprehension.

The road runner was always a road runner we changed it to 4 spd. D&S auto show bought it off me in Harrisburg Pa. Maybe they know who changed the numbers.

In final inspection at the manufacture the car would have went to " FLEX / Change over" for the fix. They would not have left the exhaust hang for delivery. A missing option could get by but not a missing exhaust hanger. The inside bracket is on the body before paint. If it it wasn't there the line assembler hanging the exhaust would have caught it. But you God always know everything. When you speak we roll our pants up.

Could they have made 340 cars without drip rail chrome ? Yes that could have been left go or part of a dealer lot car or ordered. I owned and drove many 340 cars and stripped even more and that red dart picture above is the first for me . I personally never saw one. But could they have made them ? I don't see why not. But no exhaust hanger your just being sarcastic as usual .

Do y'all now understand why the 'boss' doesn't allow conversations in the classified section? Like mentioned before, we do allow some but man, this thing here will begin a 6th page very shortly. The owner of the site is the one the mods work for and the mods did not write the rules even though we sometimes voice our concern/input from time to time. It's been a long time since I've been on Moparts but I'm sure you still can't even respond to any ad there. Once an ad is published, it's locked. Correct me if I'm wrong. And that subject has been brought up on this site before.
Into the 7th page now lol. I'm glad that I didn't start an ad that got all of this 'info' as I just wouldn't want to spend this much time/effort looking through it all to see if there was a person that wanted to buy whatever I might be selling. We actually get members that PM us or hit the report button about people posting conversation in their ad just because they don't want to sift through all the comments.

Don't ever change
I didn't forget you I had to add something to what I promised to send you.
No it's not a glitter bomb, but I have about 100 lb of metal flake if you want some.
That's a lot of 'flakes'!! :poke:

lol. Ok, I’ll type slow and see if you follow.

If a 340 car was rear ended, and the rear clip was swapped out with a non 340 car donor, how easy would it be to lose that bracket AND the holes on the floor?

And if they cut out the body numbers and swapped them like you do, the numbers would match yeah? So, how is the missing exhaust bracket fraud again? Literally no different than what you’ve done many times.

See, that’s perfect. The bracket went on before paint. So in your fantasy world, the dude that hangs the exhaust finds the exhaust bracket is missing. And instead of just hanging the exhaust using the tail pipe hanger and not worrying about it, he reports it? And of course the guys doing the final inspection absolutely find every little thing, the would NEVER miss an bracket in that middle of the car with the exhaust still hanging in the right spot cause that’s not the last hanger.

Yeah, they did. As the guys with them posted pictures of said cars in original paint right here in this thread. Clearly you haven’t seen some things.
But no exhaust hanger your just being sarcastic as usual .

No sarcasm at all. There’s literally dozens of legitimate reasons that bracket could be missing 56 years later. And since you’re a guy that swaps body numbers, I’m sure you wouldn’t call all of them fraud.
