I would like to start the engine in a 65 barracuda. The only wires I have in it are under hood wires. I have a remote start swith that hooks up to starter relay and battery and it turns the 3rd wire says ballast resistor, not sure why it has no power at anytime can I jump to pos side of coil and make it run without cooking wires, thanks for the inputs.

A remote start here can be a little complicated - the factory wiring has two ignition terminals. IG2 bypasses the ballast resistor and is only hot in Start. IG1 is only hot in Run. You don't want to leave the ballast resistor bypassed once the engine starts. The system needs to trigger IG2 and Start until the engine is running, then de-energize both and switch to IG1. You also can't tie IG2 and Start together or the ignition could trigger the starter.

Gotcha, so I should just put dash and the rest of the harness back in it

Run a jumper wire from the battery to the 12V side of the ballast resistor. Then just use your remote starter button or cross the starter relay to get the starter motor turning. Just make sure it's in park or neutral. with ebrake on.
