Stop in for a cup of coffee

Baldwin carbs and some other carb repair and restorers hang out on RFS. I could post a wanted ad there. I've seen a couple of guys there take late 60s mopar carbs and modify them into normal carbs just because they had nobody interested in original. Those were Holleys but you never know.
Send me a PM if you want me to do it

Thanks but will look for the Carter. They are out there and I'm in no hurry. Can continue to run the current one until I find one. Thanks though for the offer.

Well my car money is gone now just bought another hoard of core distributors.
Well I thought my fund was getting low to. I was telling Cheryl how I had to buy a heat riser kit for the springs and parts, a correct carburetor core, etc.. She just looked at me and said "Just buy whatever you need". I just kinda of stared at her:eek: and she asked "What's wrong"....ahh nothing, I said. I really felt like asking if she was ok, but passed and just smiled.:D I'm a lucky man!!

umm WOW WOW

Speaking of crazy...
So, I've been trying to get rid of a couple desks. Nothing special, Sauder/Ikea type pressboard peg and lock construction. Didn't want to haul them and just a little to good to put out for trash. I put them up on CL months ago. Not asking much $. Keep getting random BS inquiries. This week I got a hit on each one. Have gone back and forth with actual real questions/answers and probably have 2 real people coming to look on Sunday. :wtf:  :)

Morning you Moparian mad men and one lady! It is a balmy -25F up here in the frozen tundra. We fly to Ark today to visit family. As a result I will not be taking electronic gizmos thus no getting my daily coffee fix for a week or so. Not sure I will be man enough to back read upon my return as you all are prolific writers! Hah!
When I go on vacations I unplug. My job has a bit of stress so I take the opportunity to unplug and reset. Wish you all well this upcoming week and prayers to Tim and a couple of others facing life stuff. Hope Dd gets tooth pulled finally! I will miss the witty and on occasion philosophical humor provided here on a daily basis. You guys rock. See ya in a week or so.
John/SLO

She's a dandy for sure.

Neon is ready. Sticker have been applied. Gonna go get it if I can get my Uber out the door.
He did say I need to do front brakes ASAP, but I was already planning to do that anyway.

Long nap,hope you are okay.

I'm fine, just tired... I had a busy week...

I clocked out yesterday at 47.9 hours for four days.... That's why I haven't been on this week, too busy and tired, trying to catch up on sleep...

My best friend, Jeff, that I've told you about that lives in Pflugerville's mom passed away yesterday at 1:58 PM.... They had put her in Hospice the day before and were expecting it, but he was loosing it the night before and I had to call him on one of my breaks to help calm him down... I called another good friend of ours, Dan, that hung around with our group and he also helped talk him down when I wasn't available...

He was taking it pretty well yesterday, much calmer than the night before... Dan and I have his back if he needs to talk to someone... I can take the day shift, and Dan can cover night shift if he needs to talk it over to help get through...

She was a good woman and raised Jeff and his older brother by herself with no support from the father... She was also a hot rod lady and had a 57 Chevy in the old days, and when Jeff and I hung out, she had a 79 Trans Am...

She had very bright red hair and was always cool to talk with when we hung out at their house... She was the manager at Chicago Kenworth when they lived here, then moved to Texas and opened a carpet and floor store until she retired and sold it... Jeff was there to help her and installed carpets and floors...

She loved to gamble and went to Vagas twice a year... She even bought her own slot machine that she had in her family room/den that was set on the easiest setting... She would come home every night and put her change in the machine and play...

He did say I need to do front hrakes ASAP, but I was already planning to do that anyway.

My ex wife had a 95 Neon.... Front brakes are easy on those cars...

I had a Firestone shop do them once and they charged $350 and screwed them up... they didn't go all the way when cutting the rotors, and left a ridge about 3/4" from the center that grooved the pads...

When I found that, I called the parts store and got the top of the line pads for $45 and rotors were $25 each... After that I told the wife to just run them till they made noise and replaced the pads and rotors...

She went through three brake jobs in the first 70 k miles on that car...

Three transmission rebuilds, and 7 outside door mirrors.... :BangHead:

I had to fix the door panels after a shop did the mirrors twice and did not line up the panel clips with the holes properly and smashed and damaged the mounting clips... Then the panel would sag and prevent the door from opening... I bought a bag of door clips from the dealer and kept them in my tool box so I could replace them... After the second time the shops screwed that up, I changed the mirrors and clips when needed after that... :steering:
