Stop in for a cup of coffee

If the check engine light is on, trouble code might suggest oxygen sensor(s). Those things don't like coolant at all. Yeah I just suggested a failed head gasket. For a more positive note... The copper colored Head Gasket Fix from Barsleak really works. It's been in one of my 96 Camrys since late Sept'. Check engine light went off the very next day ( about 15 miles ) and has never came back on. Yes I struggled with the decision to pour some snake oil stuff in it. 23 bucks and only need half the bottle for a 4 cyl? YouTube videos convinced me to give it a try. At 28X K miles this car really isn't worth the cost of head gasket renew, especially if a reconditioned head is needed. For now, we're getting ALL the good out of these 'yotas.
Dont think its head gasket. Never heated up until i put water pump in.
@Ddaddy i found the reference to jacking up car, the bleeder screw on rad. Going to get the new t-stat and see how that goes.
I have a chemical test for combustion gases in coolant, but the vacuum test i did tells ne otherwise.

Take one large head of cabbage, cored and parboiled until just soft with the leaves separated and veined...

I remember a procedure like that with a VW Vanagan. Rear engine water cooled boxer with radiator in front. Had to remove grill jack up the front, remove bleeder in radiator run engine @ 2k until all air was bled from system. What a PITA!

Halupkis!!
Love em. Big thing around these parts. Large ukrainian presence here. Always cabbage rolls at every family get-together.
A few babas make them for selling, wife picks them up at the seniors center when they do a run.
Sauerkraut buns
And perogies.

Only thing that i havent had in a long time is some good kielbasa

Oldsmobile?
Pulled water pump,correct impeller.
Replaced t-stat and bled system.
A couple times. Then took it on highway with cap loose.tightened cap and guage runs 1/2 way.
Letting it cool off, recheck coolant and a road test. Looking good.

Nice! Kielbasa and baked beans is one of our favorite Winter meals with brown bread on the side. I grew up on the stuff!

What kind of brown bread Dave? Those Halupkis look delish. What ethnic background did they come from?
My wife’s family is German/Dutch, and the recipe has been handed down through the family since at least the 18th century (as far back as we can trace)

The brown bread is the B&M brown bread in the can.

You open each end of the can and then use the back of a big wooden spoon to push it out. Then slice and and enjoy. Good hot or cold and yummy toasted! It’s soft and moist with a slightly sweet molasses flavor. Kinda like a dense muffin.

I'd try it...Of course I'd try almost anything.

I never seen that around here. I'll ask next time I'm at the store.

Should of just goggled first. Looks like Walmart carries it...that's easy.

Same company makes the baked beans and the bread. It’s not like a traditional rye or wheat bread. Like I said, it’s kinda like a big dense muffin. Think like a nice bran muffin...but only just a little sweet with molasses flavor.
