Stop in for a cup of coffee

I know you can't see my paint but would you recommend a wax, polish, or a glaze?
Hmmm, as said -can't see your paint lol.
Polish is really a cleaning/smoothing step. Before that you might want to do clay bar. I was amazed at what they take off.. Wax is the last thing - to seal the paint after you are sure it is as clean as it can get. Not even sure what 'glaze' is other than the stuff used over body filler.

T-Bird:BangHead:
Limit switch cracked from body shop and it went out of adjustment. I thought, take it apart, maybe see whats going on inside. Bad idea. Lost a spring and a pin. So now trying to piece it back together, but lining it up is turning out to be very difficult. I will keep going, but had to walk away.

So, I see Yellow Rose is gone? He was a great help in my time here.
yes.
There is a suuuuperloooooooong thread about it in the Website subforum.
I have an email for him and more than a few here have his phone number.
Bottom line is he is OK, just got into some sort of arguement where he crossed some line and got himself banned.
I'm trying to give myself a vacation from here, but not that way!

FWI If you want my attention, just PM, as long as I have internet I'll get an email that night or sooner.

We have rain all day. I have a little painting to finish painting at the current place.
I can start stacking boxes to go to the new place. I've already taken a couple loads out.
Off load onto the utility bed on the golf cart, around back to the basement walkout and into the storage area.
Works great!! :thumbsup:

Oh that’s some horse doo soo. YR has more knowledge than 90 percent of the members of this forum combined. The other 10 percent are in this thread haha
from the few posts of his that I read, He sounds just like the 2 or 3 guys left that I know with knowledge like that. Kind of insane how much one person can know

So any of you know about replacing truck frame rivets. @Tooljunkie

Like would a grade 8 bolt be strong enough to replace a big *** rivet holding the rear end spring perch to the frame ??

@Tooljunkie
If you could get it torqued right, I don’t see why not. Especially if the other rivets are still there. Honestly probably be stronger

That’s exactly how its done. Grade 5 is fine. Go next size up from rivet. Lots are just shy of a bolt size. I could shoot a pic of my power wagon workshop manual, but you get the idea(you’re smart)
I found the ones in my Fargo were between bolt sizes, so i chose the larger. I did one rivet at a time, air hammer. Chisel head off and punch for the rest.
16 rivets in an hour.
I used to use cutoff wheel, slice head off, then center drill to relieve stress and hammer and punch to get them out. That sucked.

@Princess Valiant
If drilling, dont go right through, use a bit to suit the punch so it bottoms in the hole. Then it wont expand rivet.

my heavy air hammer was the best $500 i ever spent. Saves me a ton of time.

My shoulder sure hurts tonight, is swollen and bruised. Figured it would be better by now. Dam vaccine…

Two different? Thought you weren’t supposed to mix…
I’m not in charge. Doc called, astrazeneca is what they had. Then they dropped it. And countries wont accept mixed vaccines. Usa wouldnt recognize astrazeneca as its not used.
